Let me fix that for ya. "Sucks that Fallout 76 atoms are FOR sale"
Not if you enjoy the game.

Wow, some pretty steep discounts here! Quite tempted by the Metro Exodus bundle.

How is The Outer Worlds still nearly £50, I played it on gamepass at launch and now wanna own it and the dlc but not at that price. It’s been out almost 2 years!
It's actually the Board Approved Bundle that's that price, which is the game and DLC. It is in the bundles section but it's labelled wrong. Base game is currently £16 and the DLCs can be picked up for £17.

It's not the only error - they've got RDR2 listed at 50% off for £9. RDR2 is definitely a lot more than £18 at full price lol. Don't even think it's on sale either.
Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas... Whatever!

Yeah, sorry I fundamentally do not believe in microtransactions. Everything that you can do or buy with atoms could simply be a gameplay mechanic. There is about no reason why anything like Atoms should ever be traded for actual money. I 100000% understand its a business model of games these days, but that does not make it a GOOD and POSITIVE model for the consumer. It is harmful to consumers. The stuff you get with atoms is pretty cool, I like Fallout 76, but why does it have to be for cash? The only only only reason is for the company to squeeze more money out of you. Cosmetics existed before MTX and so did the game mechanics existed to unlock them before MTX.
Chill out bro. Be nicer to each other.

You also have to remember that while cosmetics did exist in games before, many of them were offline.

This is a purely online game that gets regular updates. The servers need to be funded somehow, as does the development for the free updates.

We have had two major expansions so far for Fallout 76, and they are all funded by microtransactions. Even if you don't spend a penny on the game, you still have access to them.

This is why I am more than happy to drop £10 a month on microtransactions. If it can keep the updates flowing, then I am all for it.

Any opinions on One Piece Burning Blood? I'm dreadful at fighting games but started watching some of this recently and have been playing a bit of World Seeker. It looks... not great, but would appreciate the feedback anyway. EDIT - Oh this is just for the content packs, the Gold Edition of the game was on sale the other week and I thought it was just continuing. Well, would still take an opinion on the game.

That's a great price for Metro Exodus Gold. Playstation has been getting tons of great sales on it yet it always seemed expensive on Xbox.

Crypt of the Necrodancer is an easy buy at that price. It has been on my tracker for a long time but I know it'll be a game I'm bad at and I didn't want to pay more.

Holy crap - the game information on the MS Store for Firework says:
The game finally arrives on Nintendo Switch in a revisited version and enriched by the brilliant Co-Op mode, perfect to be played with Joy-Con together

Still gonna have to disagree with you on that. Games like Halo 3 had in game unlockable cosmetics and FREE updates.

A game that requires server costs has a few options. Sell DLC with actual content. Rent out private servers. Figure in the cost of the servers into the cost of the game. Low the stupid high pay CEOs of these companies give themsevels. Also when a game is released un finished. You are not paying for updates, you are paying for them to finish it. I am not hating on or judging you for paying for an MTX. I have bought one or two in my life time. I just don't think they are needed. There are other ways.
Chill out bro. Be nicer to each other.

Fallout 4 £3.93 + Season pass £7.18. That’s an absolute steal for all that content. Although I’m pretty sure I bought the season pass cheaper a few months back. Eitherway it’s still a bargain for those who haven’t played it.

The Outer Worlds is way overpriced. It's a decent game and I enjoyed playing it and its DLCs. In fact, I felt the DLCs were a bit better than the average game DLC that IMHO tend to be anti-climactic.

In defense of Outer Worlds, it was a great deal on GamePass where most people got to play it as part of their subscription. But new players to the game have to pay an arm and a leg for it even on sale. To put it in perspective, Outer Worlds is nowhere near being in the same league as Gears 5 (another 2019 game) but is significantly more expensive than it sale price notwithstanding.

I know game development is risky and expensive. But the industry needs to stop price gouging.

So it is, thank you! Same cannot be said for Energy Cycle Edge though.
No problem also if you have arkan, catty and batty, or energy cycle edge for xbox one the xbox series x version is half off.

I would recommend Cyber Protocol at full price so $1.19 is a steal.
