Forum for discussing where to pick up cheap deals

Xbox Shocktober Sale is now live

Does anyone own or has played, Assassin's Creed Rogue: Remastered before? If so, how is the game overall, is it worth the $10 or should I pass on it? With that being said, I've heard some people say it's kinda like Black Flag in some aspects and the story and protagonist is really good. I'd appreciate the feedback, thanks.

Bit of a weak sale for me in all honesty, but I got the Resident Evil Triple Pack as well as the Castlevania Anniversary Collection (steal of a price!).
Agreed. Some prices are a bit "meh" and they could have added more "horror" games.

So COD: Warzone is free to play but the same Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is £29.99 does that change the Multiplayer in some way or is it £30 for a 8-10 single player game and some spec ops as DLC?
Warzone is the battle royale mode that’s free for everyone, and the $30 for MW is the campaign (stellar imo), the game’s own multiplayer (I like it better than Cold War tbh), and the spec ops coop mode (hard as shit with randoms last I played it). Overall, i feel it’s a pretty decent price for the game. Think of it like how fortnite has battle royale, but if you buy the actual game then you buy the Save The World (story mode) and are able to pop achievements.
I will add some more bonus things to this.

They went far out on sound for home cinema in this game. Supports 16 speaker surround etc. I think there is 5-6 sound modes in this game.
As for SP Campaign...That London level have some of the best looking graphics ever (Xbox One X).

Is there a reason why I didn't get a notification for this sale (listing the games on my wishlist that are on sale)?

Interesting story as you start as an Assassin and end up defecting to the Templars for idealogical reasons, so a bit of a switch of the formula there. The gameplay features naval missions like Black Flag. The protagonist, Shay Cormac, is also very interesting.

I'm pretty sure you don't desynch from killing civilians because you're playing as the bad guys.

I can't talk for the remaster but I played the original on Xbox 360 and I did enjoy it. Gameplay in part was similar to Black Flag with lots of sailing and such to do again. I don't remember much of the story or anything at this point since I haven't played it since I bought it but I remember having fun with it. Personally I go by a 1hr = $1 kind of deal and Rogue gave me more than 20 hours of play. I did pay $20-25 on disc for it and felt it was worth it, but that's just me. I have no problems paying $20 for a newer game on disc though if I'll get a good 20+ hours out of something. I say 'newer' and mean factory sealed new. By the time a new game is $20 its usually been out for about a year :P Or was, I'm sure that's changed with the newer systems and pricing LoL

Disappointed with the sale but what's new, nothing for me last year either. Like another mentioned, was hoping for Costume Quest 2 on 360 but didn't think I'd actually see it anyway.

    Agony still overpriced
Is it that bad? I don’t know anything about it but I like stealth games & was looking to buy it for less than 2 USD. But you say it’s not worth it?
It's horrible in my opinion. You know, sometimes I enjoy trash games, but Agony is too trash for me. Try it for yourself, it's only 2 dollars, but I think the money is better invested in coffee or a energy drink
Thanks. My main criterion in picking games is that they be fun. I don't care if they are short or long, easy or challenging. But they should be fun. This sounds like it isn't fun. Thanks for the advice. I think I'll invest my cash in a Monster Energy Drink. laugh
lmao, its really not that that bad, especially for two bucks,,, one of my fav games (im ranked #1 on the leaderboard here)

OK - sell me on it. I like stealth games & don’t mind a grind. What would I find fun about this game. The price is a minor issue but nice to get a game 90% off.

I really believe I will never see this on sale again Awakened for Dead Space 3
He's not a man. He's the holy Half-Dead who has seen the Underverse and returned with powers you can't imagine.

The 3 games I still need DLC for (Dead Space 2, 3, and Infinite Warfare) are all in this sale but their DLC isn't, unfortunately. I've been waiting so long at this point I refuse to pay full price for any of them.

Played both versions remaster is just less buggy then the og version , its comparable to black flag yes but its more linear with a few gimmicks thrown in.

They put the Diablo II and III bundle on sale, but not the games individually? Guess I'll keep waiting till Diablo II goes on sale by itself.

At this point it's less about waiting for prices i'd pay to play and more waiting for prices i'd pay to add a game to the infinite backlog.

For those that waited on some AAA titles from years ago tho, some great deals like Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY (7.50EUR / 6 GBP / 10 USD or add Mass Effect Andromeda for 2-5EUR/GBP/USD more), Shadow of Mordor GOTY (5USD / 11GBP), or The Witcher 3 GOTY (7GBP / 10EUR / 10USD)

Get even and Murdered Soul Suspect are both criminally cheap. Both are must plays, incredible games, especially for those prices.

No SOMA? Feels bad man. My interest to really play the game just popped up in my radar recently despite knowing about it since it was announced. Still kicking myself for not jumping on it the last time it was on sale for like $3. 😭
It was on sale about 6 weeks iirc
Chill out bro. Be nicer to each other.
