I absolutely loved SOMA. Great choice everyone, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Nice. Always needed an excuse to start SOMA.

Really interested in this game, but I don't think I can justify full price for it (these weekly Xbox sales have gotten me spoiled). Perhaps it will go on sale some time next month.

So, what you're saying is I should dive it?

I've not heard of this before, maybe I live under a rock. But it does sound kind of interesting...

With Community Challenges, Targets, Game Pass titles leaving, and Playlist, short completions from my backlog are welcomed. Picked SOMA up for £2.39 in July 2021, so sounds like a bargain.
Take a look at My Lists, focusing on older titles, and always looking for new gaming partners.

I guess I finally have a good excuse to finally start Soma. It also helps that I have a bunch of time off from work in July. More time for gaming and achievement/trophy hunting.

Great game. One of the most memorable endings ever. Had to have a cup of tea to calm down.

Good reason to get this off the backlog

Not sure why I picked Call of the Sea in the poll as I don't own it while I bought Soma in what looks like a Halloween sale back in 2019 and never played it. Guess that'll be the first July game and the first time I've taken part in a playlist intentionally in awhile

Played Costume Quest because I'd played the 2nd one in 19 and was playing FH5 at launch

Good deal. I have owned this game for a while so good excuse to try it out!

I enjoyed the other three on the menu, so I might find time to give this one a go...

It's official, no more excuses for me to put this game off any longer.

One thing I've seen debated over and over is how to play: walking sim style where no harm can be done to you or survival horror style where you can be harmed. Any thoughts from anyone whose played on what the better experience is going in fresh?

I'd play it normally, with the monsters on. I don't believe it was developed in mind for the monsters to not appear. It's not even a hard game anyway.
