Annapurna announces five more games coming to Xbox Game Pass

    I used to vote Annapurna every year for Publisher of the Year when we used to have yearly awards categories here at TA.

    I've played 4 Annapurna games so far this year--all on GamePass. Looks like I'll be playing some more.

    Even during the 360 era, a height of AAA that we are not going to see again, I think I was right to spend more of my time with XBLA games.

    The 360 is awesome. But it is certainly more satisfying to pick up the discs for a few dollars now than having spent $60 each on them back then.

Yeah I miss that sweet golden 360 era too, Everyone was rushing to retail stores to buy physical copies at full price, I myself bought 15+ AAA games each year, wasting tons of money back at that time... now with GPU subscription and weekly sales, my annual budget is very much reduced and my fun tripled with them

    Excellent news! And great timing as I recently decided to try and play as many Annapurna games as I can, considering most are (or were) on Game Pass.

    Stray is a timed Sony exclusive. It’s on PC, PS4 and PS5 at the moment, and while I hope it comes to Xbox and Switch later, there have been no such talks as of now, as far as I am aware.

    Solar Ash coming to more platforms almost exactly a year after the PS release feels quite telling to me... would be surprised if the same wasn't true for Stray, but we'll see!

    The biggest point of gamepass is playing things you wouldn't normally buy as a low risk way to play more games.

    Exactly. I’ve played (and enjoyed) many more games than I would have if not for Game pass, most of which I’ve never heard of (just finished Escape Academy). The last two walkthroughs I wrote were for games I would’ve never tried without it. Game pass is great for indie developers to get their games out there.

    Getting these PS exclusives just a year later is honestly so awesome, barely have to wait and there’s a full trophy guide already written day 1 🥹 can’t wait to finally try Maquette and Solar Ash!!

    Your loss. There are so many gems on GP that should be played. Expand your mind & diversify your playstyle. I know I did and have not looked back. Also, I concur with @Madtown B. Annapurna is most definitely the gold standard of indies.
    I already pass on indie titles simply because I dont even have time to play all the big triple A games I would have liked to play for past 15 years already. If I have to chose some games I wont expand my own personal interest on, its smaller indie titles with perhaps few exceptions. Its also the reason I wont ever be subscribed to Gamepass because due to backlog of 300 games I wont ever have the need to
