Yeah, this is what I said above, and I only got a couple of users who replied, saying I should expand my tastes to like the games that are coming to Game Pass now. LOL.
I've been paying close attention: and for those of us interested in playing AAs and indies on Game Pass, the quality of games LEAVING the service is much better than the quality of games JOINING the service. Only a few exceptions (like the games occasionally coming from Humble Bundle). We'll always have MS first-party (rare this year), and we'll always have some random AAAs and sports games -- but where are the new games arriving like the AAs and indies that left last month and this month?
I'm patient -- willing to give Game Pass a few months to come back with some great games. But if the service still feels like this after Q4/Q1, I'll probably bail. Can spend that $180/year on games I really want to play instead.
Even fifteen bucks a month is too much when you've got a backlog. I spend less than that a month total and it's usually on stuff that goes on wicked sale that I'm paying for with rewards money. I have enough purchased games in my backlog that I could get by without spending any real money on games for probably two years.
And I always buy to own the halo, gears, and other Microsoft 1st parry titles, so the service really has nothing for me long term.
I do think it's a great deal for most people, though, and I agree that we have lost better than we've gained recently.
State of the badass art.
