The achievement for doing the Lost Depths dungeons on normal bugged for me. And with seemingly no way to unlock it that’s the last time I play anything from this game on launch day. I love the game but buggy achievements is so demotivating.
You can unlock it on a new character. It only locks it off with one character.
Incorrect I believe, only way is to make a new character on the opposite server EU/NA, purchase the content and level up/try again
Yeah somebody already corrected me. I forgot in-game achievements are now account-wide.

Has the game been overhauled for current Gen? Last time I checked it out, looked crazy dated.

Yes and no. I’ve noticed they slap the XS info on mostly everything nowadays. With that said, that’s still not remotely beneficial. That could mean something as small as simply increasing the resolution and fidelity, all the way to an entire engine upgrade. So no…it doesn’t tell me everything I need to know. Appreciate it tho. toast

Same. It's just too much now. Wish I had stared it when it first came out
I've unlocked only a few achievements, don't plan on 100%, but it's still a damn fun game.

    Maybe another Xbox challenge incoming.

Still gotta get on the one that ends this first week of the new month.

It's not really designed to be completed. All achievements are obtainable, I guess. I have most of them on PC, but the game is just for having fun and to show off that you have overcome some of the bigger challenges in the game (exactly how achievements should be)

Nothing in the list should be difficult for the average player to achieve, though (they may need to spend thousands of hours in the game, though). The real difficult achievements are the in-game ones, which award cosmetic things.

It is a game that will have several achievements added each year for probably a good 5-6 years more anyway.
    I slightly disagree.

Maybe it's the devs' intent for the game to be fun and un-completeable.

But any game that has achievements, at least some people (us) are going to be there for the achievements.

For instance, I don't find this to be a fun game. It's not torture either.

But I'm there for a specific purpose: Xbox challenges. Then I put it down until the next challenge goes live wave

My main issue is that I don't care about their stories one bit. They never really innovate much, and the characters talk slowly enough that I never let them finish. There's too much to do, guys!

I've not bought any of the dungeon dlcs as I know that the veteran modes are mad, and they keep adding the same exact a achievements every time. Funny when the original release was so stingy with Xbox achievements compared with the masses of in game ones.

It seems like now the game is really mainly a collect-a-thon, because there is absolutely no feeling of progression. Crafted the best gear I could at champion 160, and still using it several years later, because of the way they handle levelling these days. Their "expansions" never make one feel more powerful; something that WoW mastered years ago. Still hoping that MS can give that Xbox achievements someday :)

I, on the other hand, love MMOs that never make you feel more powerful.

The constant gear grind of WOW can be irritating. It also means that the only content worth anything is the latest patch, which can deter people from jumping into the game.

Obviously, gear progression ends with the gaining of legendary gear in ESO. However, you gain progression from CP instead. Each expansion ups the amount of CP that you can gain, and your progression comes from that stat development.

It is always playing politics, or being the hero and saving a new land... why can't they do a goofy expansion just for some fun and enjoyment? Have the player drink a skooma bottle faint and wake up in a new dlc zone where the zone is split up with crazy hallucinations from across some of the previous games, and the only way to interact with iconic characters from the series is by saying/doing random stuff not relevant to what they are talking about.

The storyline can be the player trying to get back to the real world and along the way causing unintended chaos for both the good and bad guys throughout the series.

-Go give a hug to the night mother while the rest of the brotherhood look on in horror.
-Borrow the crown and sit on the ruby throne

And lastly the novelty stick is your true mount throughout! (No speed training limitations) smile

I think if the achievements are there and they are obtainable, I don't see why we aren't supposed to complete it (but that's coming from a completionist)

From achievements' point of view you are correct. However, there is a significant progression behind CP160, you have dungeons (and trials) achievements, including speedruns, no death runs and hard modes, finally all three in one run combined. It offers quite a lot of practice and clearing out this content but I agree that if you just want to play it casually the game doesn't really offer much behind story and one new mechanism, either antiquities or tales of tribute.

The other issue with this game and progression is if you're more casual, ya know, a full time job and/or a family, there's no way you'll get some of the end game content (as is the case with most MMOs, not just ESO). I know I can't be bothered to do these trials where if you're under a certain DPS they kick you. I don't have time to grind the gear they want, best I can do is Undaunted gear laugh

If all you're after is the singleplayer/story achievements and casual achievements it's actually pretty easy. Just a long game. An absolute unit of a narrative-heavy game.

It's the crazy PvP and endgame dungeon achievements that make 100% impossible for most of us. Even the top players in my guild struggle to 100%.

If Buggy achievements bother you stay FAR FAR AWAY from ESO. The game is fun but once you get geared up for VET content, you better have a dedicated team to run with. Even then, I found Vet stuff tedious. Also, don't bother creating a character blind - they wont be viable in VET.
