Posted today at 03:11The joys of cloud gaming.Amazon buys GameSparks. Entices devs to build on the platform they acquired. After several years, they get bored and basically go LOLGF. And the game developers now have products with a time bomb that's going to be hard to defuse. Nov. 30th? Boom. Game is inherently broken; just how badly is based on how deep GameSparks was in the system.Same thing happened with GameSpy. Glu Mobile bought it out for... actually, I don't know why. They bought it and murdered it, which is why anyone that had a Nintendo Wii couldn't play online games anymore. Because it was all integrated with GameSpy, which is now dead.Google had the Stadia. Except they're shutting that down too.
