5* for preemptive usefulness. Love it

Thanks again for these lists! Wanted to try Research and Destroy but that high ratio has kept me away from it.

Ugh I'm gonna have to finish Bugsnax. Thought I was really going to like the game but it's been a drag.
This is worth noting: Bugsnax is not hard per se, but hunting some Bugsnax and especially hats can feel pretty tedious.

Also, I’m sorry to add this minor spoiler but it’s also important: Bugsnax is dark. The trailers tell a very different story than the game. I can say the difference is stark enough it may put some people off a lot.

With that said, it is different and I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either.
Darker then marketed yes but wouldn't say it's "Donnie Darko" dark. More of a "The Dark Crystal" dark. Unsettling in parts but overall charming. I did like the game far more then I expected and is short enough that I would recommend. (Played on PC so not sure how it feels on XBox)

I've already started Life is Strange yesterday assuming it would leave soon. Considering Guardians of the Galaxy is leaving this week, and both are Square Enix games, I think it's likely Life is Strange will leave too. Funnily enough, last year I played Just Cause 4 assuming it would leave but it ended up staying

Bugsnax has already been out for almost a year? Gees, I've hardly played it. Time just keeps going by faster the older I get.

It would be a shame for The long dark to leave before they released the final chapter.

The games on the Xbox store have an end date in their code which shows when their current price will change, which hints at when they could leave Game Pass. There only appears to be one date, so a current or upcoming sale could override that. Here are the Game Pass games on the store that have an end date on Apr 1, Apr 16 or May 1 :

    Morning of April 1 :
    A Memoir Blue
    Chinatown Detective Agency
    Clustertruck
    Double Dragon Neon
MLB The Show 22 Xbox One
    MLB The Show 22 Xbox Series X | S
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid
The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos - Chicken Edition
    Totally Reliable Delivery Service
    Weird West

    Morning of April 16 :
    Moonglow Bay
    Panzer Corps 2
    Stellaris: Console Edition
    The Long Dark
    The Riftbreaker
    Zombie Army 4: Dead War

    Morning of May 1 :
    7 Days to Die
    Bugsnax
    Citizen Sleeper
    Hitman World of Assassination
    Unsouled

    Midday May 1 :
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition
    Inkulinati (Game Preview)

Of the other possibilities listed :

    Research and Destroy - May 1, 2024
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion - Oct 16, 2023
Life is Strange: True Colors - game is set to go on sale tonight overriding a potential GP leave date
Cricket 22 - scheduled for sale tonight

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator - June 16, 2027
Back 4 Blood - scheduled for sale tonight

Destroy All Humans! - currently on sale ending tomorrow, overriding the date
    Outriders - currently on sale

    The Walking Dead : A New Frontier - Apr 18, 2099

Cities: Skylines - currently on sale
theHunter: Call of the Wild - currently on sale

Has it been 12 months already. Some games used to leave after 6 months, or even 3 months. When Ubisoft+ finally makes it’s way to Xbox it could shake things up a bit.
I think the only games that have left after six and three months were GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2? Memory is pretty hazy, though, so I could be wrong there!
That NBA 2K game was also only short.

Throw "ClusterTruck" to the depths of Hell’s Hell and make sure it never comes back.

Also "Unsouled" leaving is a shame, and honestly kinda just demonstrates how saturated the industry has become with souls-likes (people thought this was another one, it’s not; I believe Fire Hawk D said in one of his weekly summaries it was akin to an "Onimusha" game).

Given Sony's tightness with SE, I could see Outriders going away. I'm more than a bit shocked they did not sell this IP off with their grand western sell-off.
The developers, People Can Fly, basically walked away and started their new project the second the DLC was released.

Really hoping Tunic doesn't get removed. I don't see it listed above but i have had it installed on my Xbox since March 16th 2022 and barley played it. If it does then I guess it will give me the kick up the butt to finally play it as can be done in around 5hrs with a guide.

Time flies. Might need to jump on Cricket 22 before it likely leaves.

My vote goes for Turnip Boy, Chinatown Detective Agency, ClusterTruck and The Walking Dead: new Frontier. Why? Because I just downloaded those games. It always happens. Guardians Of the Galaxy, Young Souls, Paradise Killer and Zero escape were the latest. roll

I kind of enjoyed ClusterTruck for a bit but it definitely gets frustrating fast. I am glad I didn't unlock an achievement in the game yet but am wondering of I should go back to it. Everyone who I asked said no. laugh
I really still have to try Unsouled, seems like fun but yeah, the market is more than saturated with souls-likes. The Pinocchio game does look like fun though.

Oh, that's clever. I'm curious to see how accurate this is in predicting what leaves.

I need to keep on top of Gamepass more. The past 6 weeks i have rushed to complete 4 games that were leaving game pass and it makes the experience of playing the game worse as you know there is a deadline. Besiege, The last kids on earth, FAR Changing tides and now Kentucky. Lucky nothing really interests me apart from Bugsnax so we shall see.

Tried it, figuring I could figure out the rules while playing. I was wrong. I had no clue what to do.
