If you aren’t one to do the rewards thing daily, I can see why you think it doesn’t matter since it’s such a small amount. But for someone like me who redeems $20-30 per month for just a few minutes of “work” per day, it’s absolutely worth it to me.

Still, I only buy games when they’re on sale, and that’s a rarity. I think I’ve bought maybe 3 games total this year.
Not sure if you're replying to me or anyone particular as no quote etc but i agree that doing rewards are totally worth it. But if you're on the fence about buying a game, earning 34p worth of points isn't enough to swing a decision in my opinion

Like if i wanted Stray but was holding out for a sale and pick it up for £10, i wouldn't be convinced to pay double that just to get 400 points as the points don't make up the difference in cost i'd have to pay by getting it now compared with waiting for that sale

If you're not replying to me then please ignore
No, wasn't quoting you specifically, just expressing my opinion that they are of value to me, so I will continue doing them. I get 500-700 points per day (depending on values of punch cards, whether it's the beginning of the week or if I turn in weekly/monthly rewards). I agree that 34p is nothing, but it adds up quickly.

Clearly I don’t understand this offer. If I buy the expanse then how many points am I supposed to get back?

I purchased Stray via the Summer Spotlight store page and got less points than I normally would laugh

20 points per £1 in the UK so I should have had 400 without this offer but got a random 333.

I love how my XBox still keeps hiding the Summer Spotlight entirely in favor of those terrible buy X get Y Ubisoft and EA Sales.

If the game I’d poured my soul into making was spotlighted this year I’d be so disappointed.

If anyone knows of a 100% sure way to navigate to the Summer Spotlight every time let me know, scrolling through categories and checking every different banner tile has been a bust.

I'm really don't understand the rewards program now because I've been getting the equivalent of around 50 points per £1 for as long as I can remember, thought everyone did?😂

Now that Xbox messages you every time a purchase is made its easy to keep track of.

    Remnant complete edition - £14.60 - points 730
    AC Valhalla complete edition - £35.99 - points 1849
    Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Eartblood - £4.49 - points 224
    Bridge Constructor TWD - £1.67 - points 83

Just some examples from past few of months of stuff bought on various sales and while writing this I purchased Stray £19.99 - points 1099. I'm even more confused than when I started😂

Did they get rid of the Weekly Treasures for 100 points, or do I just keep missing them?
Oh snap, you might be right.
I havent seen that for 2-3 weeks so its safe to assume thats gone forever.
Same here unfortunately. Not seen the weekly treasure for a few weeks either. ??
Same, haven't seen in a few weeks. Perhaps the TA team could reach out for comment on this?

Also note that prices, and rewards amounts, vary by country.
I think the reward amounts are the same per country. For example playing a Game Pass game gets 3 points. What is messed up is a $60USD game costs $110NZD, so $5 off a game in the US is worth almost twice $5 off a game in NZ. Or put another way you can get a game for free in the US for maybe 13 cards with taxes, whereas you need 22 cards in NZ.

We also don’t get punch cards very often, so it takes longer to earn points. Before Game Pass rewards was introduced it used to take me about a year to earn enough points for a $5 gift card!
He's not a man. He's the holy Half-Dead who has seen the Underverse and returned with powers you can't imagine.

Legacy accounts get better stuff, that may include purchase rebates. Also the Spotlight deals may just be automatically offering Level 2 rewards to all buyers, if you normally get Level 2 rewards you might not notice a difference. I’ll be honest I can’t keep up with the changes. But I still get free Game Pass so far and an occasional gift card so I’m okay with it.

I’ve been looking this summer for anything even half as mind blowing as Othercide was back in 2020’s spotlight. So far The Wandering Village seems like the most novel game but it’s still not close to Othercide quality…

I purchased F1 Manager 2023 and got 749 rewards points. Seems low to me, but its hard to tell with all these figures floating around.

They don't give points on VAT anymore... They only give points on the base value of the game

It would be nice if we knew ahead of time which "select" games has the 20x rewards points... And for another point M$ is neglecting the rewards points in the Rewards app... We don't get any punch cards for anything anymore

Ahhh of course. Didn't think of that. Explains the mystery. Thanks!

I went for the summer spotlight during lockdown. Bought one of the games that was included in the graphic advertisement for the spotlight. No points were given. I contacted support, attached a picture of the add showing the game I purchased as part of the promotion. Got message back saying "tough titties"
How appropriate you fight like a cow.

Points for specific purchase offers seemingly are the most broken thing in the Rewards program. From communities I view, most people don't touch them anymore unless they were already going to make thay purchase.

You should be getting base points, though, without issue. It's just those punch card-style rewards purchase offers.
