Poll: Are you happy with the final Games with Gold line-up?

I'm just curious how they'll justify the fact you're paying more for Ultimate and getting less. Even if you didn't like the choices for GWG, you're still matter of fact paying more for less.

In the beginning GwG were actually really good, then they steadily started becoming some pretty meh games. Can't really complain about free games but I also don't have to like them. And the selection has really become disappointing considering all the solid games that I never did see show up. Obviously that is likely due to contracts and so on but still the games could have been better.

Inertial Drift sucks. Its a boring "racing" game where you phase through your single opponent so it feels less like a race and more like a time trial. Also, the music is really bad; it's so bland and disappointing. A complete letdown.

I will get round to both eventually, the 3D platformer appears to be more my type of game, but I do like the odd racer, so who can tell. Due to my lack of knowledge I had to go with fine as I didn't own either beforehand.

They were called Games with Gold - so it was pretty obvious you needed Gold to get the games.

Microsoft were very careful to say they were a free additional benefit. That way there are no refunds, and they can give a months notice and stop, as they are doing now and as they did 9 months ago with the X360 games.

What about flights with a free bag allowance, or a free meal. Hotels with free newspapers, or a free breakfast. Chips with free salt. Coffee with free milk and sugar. Buy one get one free deals. The meaning of the word “free” is well understood. But every month someone has to come on TA and claim that most of the world doesn’t know the meaning of the world free. That the airlines, hotels, takeaways, cafes, supermarkets and Microsoft have all got it wrong.

Dreadful. Just what you expect from Microsoft.

GwG was always a double edged sword. The quality seemed to dip for sure since the introduction of Gamepass. But at least I didn't own any of the games.

They could offer Triple A games and I remember a lot of people complaining "Well I guess one game this month isn't bad, I own the other three" or something to that effect. Myself included. Great, they gave away a Gears of War title, you know what I mean?

I'll gonna miss it, some games I've played, some not yet, but GWG is a lot better from my point of view than GPCore, this mouth they finally gave a game that I really wanted to play (Blue Fire) and is a amazing one, I loved e already finished exactly in this moment hahaha. Play it guys, is a really funny.

You as a consumer have to justify whether or not you'll accept the change and continue to pay for it.

Ending the program sucks... it was fun for a while.

Ending the program with such a lackluster offering instead of going out on top is lame.

I can't remember the last time I was excited for a GWG. I couldn't even begin to remember the last game I claimed was.

GwG used to be a good service, now they only put bland games on it. I got several Gears, AC, NFS games on it etc.

Later, Microsoft made it possible to get Gold by redeeming easily earned rewards points. So, not only are games with gold free but Gold, itself, is free for those that want to spend a few minutes a day earning the rewards points.

Indifferent. But good riddance to a feature that was nice enough in theory (free games) but rarely offered anything desirable. No complaints about free games by any means but I won't lament the loss of a feature I didn't use.

As the expression goes it would have been nice if they went out with a bang instead of a whimper.

I'm actually enjoying Inertial Drift. What a cool, little, chill game that I never would have played if not for Gold.
