While I didn't enjoy Starfield after 500+ hours, I did have some fun moments. I dont think its a worthy choice. But if you enjoyed it, hope you had fun.
You played it for 500+ hours and didn't enjoy it??? I don't get the cognitive dissonance there. Why continue to play any game for that long if you didn't enjoy it?

It started off positive, but over time I got bored of repeating the main quest. So I just ended up farming for ceesits to build new ships. I was signed off for 4 konths with clinical depression. So being able to occupy my thoughts with what to bukd next helped me immensely. I understand where you're coming from though. It's a bit messed up. But my first run was around 230 hours, as I did everything I could find.

Most people's opinion would sour on almost any game if they played it over and over and over for hundreds of hours. That doesn't make it a bad game, it just means you don't know when to move on.

I voted for Baldurs Gate 3 but to be fair I did play it on PC so I never had the save issues.

Honestly I was super disappointed by Starfield, finding any sort of handcrafted content seemed like finding a needle in a haystack and it grew tired quickly for me.

I can kinda understand that. I started off loving Fallout 4 when I first played that. I ended up putting 300+ hours into it(I fully explored just about every area in the game), and the more time you put into something, the more apparent the flaws can became. I don't hate Fallout 4 or anything, but I'd give it around a 6 or 6.5 out of 10, so pretty disappointing after loving both 3 and New Vegas. It's been years since I last played it though, so maybe once the Series X update finally comes out, and I finally play the full package, as I've only played the launch version so no DLC, I might feel differently.

I think it's complicated. I played for ~100 hours and would give it a 6/10. There were many moments where I was excited and it kept me going. And then many moments where it baffled me with its poor design. And deep down, I wanted Bethesda to pull through and capture my excitement like they did with Skryim. So I stubbornly pushed on.

Right. Suffering depression like I did was awful. Starfielf kept me going for a while. When my depression lifted enough for me to return to jormal, I stopped playing just after. You also domt get to decide s**t for me. Keep your uninformed mouth closed and mind your own if you don't have any insight to my life.

Starfield is a bad game, and Betheada are a severely overrated developer. Every game s8nce Morrowind has gotten progressively worse as they attempt to cater to the cause gamers. It doesn't innovate, adds nothing to the RPG genre, space travel is dull and tedious menus and loading screens. Locations are Copt and pasted across each dull world. Occasionally a planet looked nice. NPC's are dull, lifeless and a chore to take anywhere. I could go on, but I'm done with the game. I played Achilles recently, and that was better.

Starfield is the dissapointment of the year. Just like any game with a big hype. No surprised to se BG3 fall out since noone took the time to dive into it with the short time its been out (on XBL).
Be prepaired to laugh at any point in time :)

Yes. Larian is a small indie developer that has some huge games to its credit. It's used Kickstarter, in the past, to get the cash to flesh out their development teams. The CEO, himself, is a developer who actively participates in the creative process.

I'll continue to say Super Mario Brothers Wonder is better than Starfield

as is Assassins Creed Mirage and Dead Island 2

    I could go on forever

    Spiderman 2

Good to see the fanbase engaged. It's what keeps xbox going nowadays since microsoft can't find greatness even with infinite pockets.

There wasn't a game without its problems this year. But the game with the least problems was Resident Evil 4. Japan is destroying western devs, but they are slowly slipping due to military investment firms taking interest in the global economy, which affects even video games. We'll see how things go over the next few years. GotY could get worse and worse.

Starfield and Hogwarts were my GOTY. I called Starfield and Hogwarts months ago and got hate for it, now I can just sit back and laugh.
