800 MSP is a fair price in my opinon. Definitely going to be picking this game up at some point. I like arcade racers and games that allow you to use your avatar so this is a win win!

Could be some easy GS. I'd try if you can set up races with friends.

I'll buy for 400MSP on DotW. Not enough there with all the broken promises to get $10 out of me.

    I'm also a cheapass....laugh

According to Xbox 360 achievements its only 200gs.
Good. 400 GS XBLA games is the worst idea Microsoft has ever had in my opinion.

Actually these right here are typical responses from ignorant people who can't explain why they think there incorrect viewpoint is supposedly correct.

GIVE ME PROOF THAT THE ORIGINAL GAME WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE.

There is no proof, because it was NOT EVER supposed to be free.

I already explained quite thoroughly and even provided a link. If you can't accept that then you are too thick to process the information given or you are simply a troll.

Read my original post, everything about that is valid.

    F2P/Freemium games are not "free."

Remember Game Room? That was technically "free" but you had to buy add-ons to unlock achievements and games.
Crimson Alliance was "free" but the free platform was merely a demo and you had to buy each character separately.
Pinball FX 2 is "free" but you have to buy each table separately.

That is the same model Joyride was originally developed to be.

Given that this is an achievement-based site, a lot of you would be pissed if you had to buy different pieces of dlc in order to complete the game.

    Let's do some math:
800 points gives you 42 cars.
If this were a F2P game we can only assume that each car would be sold at the minimum price point of 80 points (or more)
    80 X 42 = 3360 points.
And this doesn't even include all of the tracks.

I'd much rather pay 800 points for the whole package. Only a mad man would dispute this.

BTW, the reason why a game like Doritos Crash Course was free was because it was paid for by a sponsor. Joyride is NOT sponsored. Game developers are in the business of making money, NOT giving it away. Do you understand how businesses work? Big Park has employees, they need to be paid.

Now with that said, bring on more of the whining posts saying "It was supposed to freeeeeeeeeeeee angry"

    laugh

Supposed to be free, not supposed to be free, who cares? You had me at kinect-less! I look forward to buying this game when it is a DotW for 400MSP. Until then, I'll just keep reading some of these colourful forum posts.
