Max Caulfield returns in Life is Strange: Double Exposure, coming to Xbox in October

Unpopular opinion: I hope this makes the ending where she has to let Chloe die canon. The other ending appeals to a lot of people but it never made sense to me. It totally invalidates the entire journey.

As long as there's no chloe. Jesus she was so annoying my least favourite game character, scratch that character in general

Original LiS is top 10 all time for me. Amazing story and writing, had me hooked start to finish and played it probably 5 times over. LiS 2 was just terrible. 2 pandered so hard it ruined everything and the characters were annoying. Before the storm was enjoyable but felt a bit lacking due to lack of powers but was a good gap filler and I was over Chloe by the end. LiS 3 was decent if completely predictable and the choices laid out before you kinda felt like the team was pushing you to pick certain things and that was kinda lame, but not bad overall.

Seeing Max again was great, and I can forgive the character model since she wasn't uglified on purpose. I just really hope they at least put a concerted effort into recapturing the magic of the first one with writing that isn't phoned in and a story with some serious thought and finesse put into it.

Hopefully this will be on par with the first one. Transformative game!

Honestly, I loved Life is Strange 1 because it was a murder mystery.
The sequels following that went off the rails. Hated them, but played though for the achievements.

I'm guessing this unfortunately means they're abandoning the choices we made in LiS1.

I liked how that was referenced in LiS2 where you go past Arcadia Bay and see it either battered from the storm or intact.

I always preferred the former ending cus of the dubious moral situation.

I've also been hoping that eventually we'll get a game where all of the characters with these abilities (yes, even TMW - I didn't think it was as bad as people make out) paths cross.

This was unexpected but I am glad to play it sometime in the future

Played Life is Strange back when it first released for £3.99 a episode. Now its £50 for the full game. Ill hold out for a sale. Way to treat long standing fans. Not.
