I own a single game on this list because it seemed fun. Now I am plagued with it on my profile forever, lol.
Yeah same! I've tried to bury Castle of no Escape and Castle of no Escape 2 below a lot of other games. laugh

Even though I got them for pennies, it just felt silly once I finished them.

Mushroom quest and feather weren't too bad and at least felt like games.

I think what's worse than shovelware is how much money is spent on mobile game purchases. I know they target people susceptible to it but I think that has a worse affect on the industry.
Feather is a legit game that happens to have easy achievements. I understand that some people buy it, get the achievements and never go back to it, but it’s actually real game. It’s a good little sandbox that lets you just chill and fly around on different islands and do it with other players as a flock of birds if you wish. It’s great for just lowering anxiety and chilling out when a competitive or difficult game would just stress you out.

Don’t besmirch Feather by putting it up next to these games.
Yes you're right feather is very relaxing. However if all you care about is the achievements you can be done very quickly which is the only reason I mentioned it along with the others.

lol… I wouldn’t put any of that garbage on my Gamercard.
lol... This is the stuff I don't get...ClaytThaGreat I am looking at your gamertag right now....You have a 100% completion on Smart Moves and Smart Moves 2...And aren't those two games easy games with title updates and dlc...

I followed someone who had told me they were halfway decent games… they lied lol. I don’t take that individual’s advice anymore.

I do like some indies but only if they’re decent quality. I do also admittedly get some enjoyment out of the Artifex Mundi titles… but for the most part, I have dignity.

I also played Bullet Beat but again, wouldn’t really exploit those types of games anymore because it devalues your gamerscore and makes you look like a scrub.

It’s really all about TA score and ratio.

    …and just overall quality.

I knew this would happen as soon they presented the changes for Xbox one many years ago. They destroyed everything about gamerscore. It means shit now and I really do not care about it so now I just care about completions.

EDIT: (I used to care about it while it was interesting).

Glad I don’t have any of these titles. Last thing I want is to play a relaxing, casual game to decompress only to be blindsided by lame add-on content after I’ve rear-mirrored the game. facepalm

There should be a no shovel ware badge. This is honestly why I stopped getting achievements in mass. Recently I started hunting difficult achievements. Thank god for TA score

No more games like this for me, I was near to kill my good ratio, is very very addicted win a lot of achievements in the first 2 minutes of starting a game, I miss that, but I prefer a good ratio.
    Yup, exactly this.
Very addicting to get that score. But ultimately leaves you feeling empty.
TIL: Having numbers instead of letters in a gamertag is edgy. Awesome!

    Shovelware!
I would rather have a sweet 4 player local co-op board game (Richman 11 which I own) than a $70 "AAAA" online only failing game or a game that ignores the fact that some gamers still like to play games with their friends in the same room.

Nothing is more ironic than reading disapproving comments from users of an achievement website when the website announces more achievements.
What a useless comment. This reads as "my hobby, achievement hunting, is perfectly fine and I'll continue to keep my head in the sand about any issues surrounding it."

Where's the irony? We're here because we want to see the achievement system improve. Just because you're ok with it being stale, pointless, and effortless, doesn't mean everyone else is lol.
I didn't know this site was called "Achievement Fixers" Where it's users all have the high ground and look down upon certain achievements they personally deem unworthy. It's an achievement hunter website. Literal walkthoughs on how to get achievements. No tutorials on how to fix issues surrounding it or how to improve it. What an elitist and self centered comment. Get over yourself and the ego of feeling high and mighty because you value certain achievements above others. I don't think you are the achievement police and don't hold any position of power to designate if any of them are stale, pointless and effortless. It's solely your opinion. When you follow a walkthough, then you can also argue they become effortless. Again, proving your comment is useless and ironic.
You literally came into an achievement hunting website and made a broad statement about how it's not okay for users of an achievement hunting website to be express their concerns about the state of achievements. What's the point in doing that? Clearly your comment was just to get people to shut up so YOU can see a perfect world where people rave about having more effortless achievements to get. "Get over yourself" he says hahaha. Pot, meet kettle.

There's more of us that disapprove of these games than you think btw. I'd ignore the small amount of defenders and let them have fun for the 2 minutes

the same thing happened to me with the cheevo's and i was like NICE ONE

and this is why the overall gamerscore total means nothing anymore... I just enjoy focusing on getting 100% in games im interested in now. Once u stop caring about the overall total, gaming becomes so much more enjoyable
The next step is to stop caring about 100% games, or play those games you wanted to play but skipped cause they have an unobtainable. The next step after that is to stop caring about achievements all together.

I have nothing against anyone who uses these games to boost their Gamerscore, but I personally realized years ago that this isn't for me. People care about Leaderboards feel "undervalued" by having high Ratio and "low" GS. I fell that I devalue my profile to myself with this. Much better to have a 100% on RD2 with blood, sweat and tears (one day will' get that 1000g) - which is one of the best experiences I've ever had with video games - than 100k of GS with these games that don't add anything to me. Only the Score loses its value. When I started with Xbox, around 2009-10 in my teenage, a Gamertag with 500~600k was impressive. Stallion83 reached the million mark in 2013 or 14, if I'm not mistaken. At the time, a much greater feat than it would be today. Not that it's easy today, but with enough time and money you can get there. I miss 200g Live Arcade titles...
