Lord Midas said:Great show. Perfect for the Japanese and Asian market. They love these games. Plenty of western players want these too. Nice to have these after years of average-ware many of the western devs are putting out.
My hot take for the FFVII topic is: I bought it when it came out on the PS1 and found it to be complete rubbish. One of the worst design decisions was running around then having some random encounter with a boss or something out of nowhere. Nothing there, poof a boss.
Edit: I know it's very popular and loads of folks like it, and that's cool. Enjoy the FF games
I think of the final fantasy VII ps1 random encounters like Pokemon...You run around getting into random battles...defeating the enemy and that's it...
Final fantasy doesn't use the random encounter battles system...anymore...it's more action...now...But I would rather prefer to play a random encounter battle games(like dragon quest, persona, shin megami) then action games...but that's my take on the matter
My take on it being rubbish is I would only think final fantasy would be rubbish if we had to defeat the same enemies and they had the same abilities...but final fantasy has different enemy types and they do use different abilities..
The one thing that hooked me into final fantasy...tho...is the story...and the characters...
I know final fantasy is not for everybody but it is a masterpiece and your right it's very popular and loads of folks like it...I will be getting the final fantasy pixel remaster for xbox even tho...I already got it on ps4 and switch...
