I got a wish list notification Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The London Case showing at a price of £16.74.

The article shows £4.19 which I presume is wrong?

Ah, that's my bad, I had the wrong Agatha Christie game in the header! Should be fixed now.

Correction here, Hercule Poirot: The First Cases is 4.99. The sequels are also on sale, but quite a bit more expensive.

Take some of these with a grain of salt. Many of them depend on glitches/exploits on a Windows PC and may be very difficult or long completions if you don't have access to a gaming PC. Some of them have been patched too and the solutions/walkthroughs are just massively out of date. Some depend on flakey/buggy exploits that may not work for you and land you with unobtainables on your tag. These kinds of games don't get much love from the community nor the mods so they often never get updated.

There's also a lot where to get the quick completion you won't actually be playing the game. All the novel-style games are just 30 minutes of mashing A. It will take much longer if you actually want to play the game.

Some are straight up just very hard/skills/luck based too. From recent memory the final boss in WeakWood Throne was a real difficulty spike and while doable with the solution, is not a simple feat. Took me a few hours of kiting the skeletons around and chipping away at the bosses health because the technique in the solution is quite flakey. The walkthrough doesn't really give you any kind of advice for this fight either. I did eventually get it, but it took me nearly double the estimate in this article. That said, I did enjoy the game up to that annoying final boss.

Not if they all look like mediocre to awful games😂

My preference is always on quality or unique experiences, I don’t see anything on this list that offers either, let alone both.

Welcome to Elk is a nice little, albeit incredibly depressing game, but it's no way worth the asking price for as short as it is.

Then, my recommendation is The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition currently discounted 60%—its lowest price. At the risk of a shameless plug, The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition Walkthrough will provide you the unique, quality experience you crave. smile

Maybe I’m the only one but I often search for games that are less than 40 hour completion with no missable achievements. If I start a game that’s 100 hours, it’s going to take me 6 months to complete it. I’m not interested in that. And I don’t want to be following a bloody walkthrough either. I just want to enjoy the damn game, knowing that when I complete it, it’s likely I’ll have most of the achievements, without having to replay it 3 times, or worry about missing collectables.
The quick completions are dirty and lack any satisfaction. The opposite end of the scale is not practical. It seems there’s a huge gap in between which no one caters for.
    Maybe I’m missing something 🤷🏻‍♂️

Depends what your taste is, but there are plenty of indies that fit this bill, albeit not always the shiniest and some genres are less well represented. I find it useful to filter the sales by 4 stars and above and see what's in there. Even ones with collectables, if they're in the 20-hour window on TA, I can usually go through the story in 10-15 hours and then just use a WT for the mop-up.

Thanks. I’ll give that a go.

What can I say? None of the 67 quick completions appealed to Ty. smile
