Any chance we can look at getting collapsible tables implemented as many of us won't have any interest in at least some of those sections and scrolling through them can be a massive drag. Personally I have very little interests in the tables at all and would rather just get down to the comments so I can see potential user suggestions.
What i want is an option to hide/exclude my owned games from the Sale List. Some sites provide such functionality. You can’t remember every single game in your library (which is getting bigger with every year), so it could easily become too tedious to navigate, especially during big sales with tens/hundreds of games on the list.

My tip for buying games...ask yourself will you actually play the game in the next few weeks or months? if the answer is no and it'll just be added to your already large backlog, save your money...by the time you are ready to play, the next sale might have it cheaper...I used to buy loads on sale but never got round to them and some often either ended up on Gamepass or less than half the price I paid for it.

games dont tend to leave ea play, right? ive been having a "just for you" deal for Immortals of Aveum™ Deluxe Edition for just $9 and i thought about it, but if it's gonna stay on EA play then no reason to buy it
Correct, they don’t cycle through games on EA Play.

It depends if you want the Deluxe content. There are many Deluxe EA games on sale for less than the price of the Deluxe content. They know you already have the game through EA Play.

Agreed. Although when they are 90% or 95% off I still end up buying them as they may only be 75% or 80% off in the next sale.

It’s not really “the lowest price ever” if it matches its all time low.. Would be nice to see only what’s ACTUALLY at its lowest price and not the same stuff that has been on sale for that price for months.
And what about a game that was 90% off 4 years ago that has been on sale for 75% off every month since and is currently 90% off - you don’t want to see that on this list?

Lowest is being used correctly, despite what you think the word should mean.

There is a difference between static and dynamic web content. Expecting a news article to be different for every person that reads it is a limitation of the Web, not TA.

Oh thnx, that’s another good thing to know! I just never use this “xbox sales” page, now i see i’ve been doing it wrong and I’ll definitely start using it.
Why i expected it to be different is because of how they show achievements in those server closures/date related threads, or even online sessions. Like, you can see which of the affected achievements you’ve already unlocked. That’s why thought mb there’s a way to mark in green (as unlocked achievements) or even entirely exclude owned content from these news articles.

It's not the word "lowest" that is being used incorrectly. It's the word "ever". Comprehension is hard, I understand.

Lowest-ever is still correct as they haven’t ever been lower. Ever is superfluous and can even be misleading, as you are finding. “Lower than ever” would apply to items that have not been this price before.

    Jumping in here.

My answer: No I wouldn’t because then it also means the list is bulked up to 3 times the size with games that are ALWAYS or often on sale for that same price and go on sale as often as once a month.

I want to use the list to find actual all time, never before seen lows and the current structure makes it almost useless for this purpose.

I would also point out that Dragon Age: Veilguard is 40% off right now, an actual all time low, and isn’t even included on this list, so it’s not even doing its current job accurately.

The way they do the list now it’s often about 75% of the entire sale list, somehow claiming it’s a “special” sale whether it is actually any good or not. It smacks of marketing and clickbait and honestly I don’t know who it helps. Your scenario of a game that’s just now receiving again a discount it hasn’t received for years is vanishingly rare in comparison and that’s why it’s not a good argument for keeping the list the way it is.

Picked up The Last Campfire. I've only heard good things, and I figured can't go wrong for a buck and a half.

I like that there is an article and list about games that are their lowest price ever. It would be great if it was intergrated into the 'XBOX Sales' page with a column and filter. There are so many ways to make the sales page better. It seems to have been neglected for a long time. There istill isn't a filter for XBOX Series games.

Just note that you have to work within the system. If you buy 10 games, but only get achievements in 1 game, TA will only be aware of that 1 game. You will need to manually add the other 9 games to your collection - either on the "Price" page of the game (right under the content/game's description), or on the Achievements page using the (. . .) drop-down menu to flag it as owned.

Likewise, you'll have to flag DLC as owned or not. Even the free Updates, but those are free anyways so they wouldn't show up on the Sales page. Similar deal - "Price" page of the DLC, or the (. . .) drop-down menu on the specific DLC's achievement page/section. Alternatively with DLC, go to your Game Collection page and search for the game the DLC is for. If you click the "Edit" button to the far-right, there'll be a DLC section at the bottom if the game has any, plus checkboxes for each piece of content. You can flag one or more pieces in there.

Just a quick warning - if you buy a bundle, the bundle Price page has "add to collection", but that doesn't work cleanly. It might add the first item of the bundle, but not the rest, and it doesn't properly flag the bundle itself as owned. I simply go into each actual item and "Add to Collection" from their pages.

I’ve given up pointing this out. I find it way less useful as well, apparently we are in the minority.
The apparent stubborn refusal of TA to do that is frustrating.

Thank you so much. I think TAs coverage of sales is really, really solid. The news on this site is perfect.. it gives all the key Games Pass and Sales news. I have no need to go anywhere else.
It would be perfect if they listed new lowest prices. Until they do that, it's lacking what other sites provide.

psprices clearly differentiates between lowest price and 'new lowest'. Unfortunately psprices doesn't let you actually filter by new lowest, so you have to laboriously look through the entire 1500 games on sale to find them.

Some random examples of new lowest prices in the current sale:

Dirt Rally 2.0 game of the year edition, 85% off for the first time ever.
Dirt 5 year one edition, 85% off
New Super Lucky's Tale, 80% off

There are dozens of others. This would be an interesting article to see on TA for each sale, and they could presumably code it in five minutes.
