So I picked up this game and was hoping to play for about an hour before going to bed. I had to stop after 20 minutes as nausea was setting in. Wow

Eh, the same thing happens to me when I play The Darkness. You can't really blame the game for it.
It's a three-pronged attack. Subliminal, liminal and superliminal.

Just take a couple of paracetamol's and force yourself to carry on playing..you'll get over it eventually. Would be a shame if you missed out on a great game because of that..of course I don't actually know whether ME is a great game or not, but it could be.
Hot bod. Gross face. I get it. Just hit that shit from behind.

I have this problem with GTA IV. The minute I get in a car and start to drive (in the game), I feel like I am going become violently ill. If it wasn't for a friend playing it for a couple hours, I wouldn't have but 5 gamerscore.
I love to debate and argue. If you feel it becomes personal, lemme know and I will check it

I've only had that with Bionicle Heroes - the insane amount of motion blur coupled with bloom effects simply makes me sick. Still managed to finish it, but I needed a break every so often.

I've never felt nausea from a game, but any game that uses a black and white nightvision thing gives me massive headaches.

I've never felt sick.

But I have almost peed myself after ignoring the need to go during a marathon gaming session.

I have serious motion sickness issues and I never had an issue since there's a setup in-game to help with that. In the center of your screen there's a small dot that is basically the center of Faith's vision. Focus on that at all times when you're running at high speed. Glance off to the sides or above yourself momentarily but always come back to that dot. It's there specifically to help you not get sick during all the high speed running.
Looking to Boost: Gears of War 1 & 2, RE5: Vs. Mode, Army of Two, Turok

That is both disturbing and amusing all in one breath. Or stream perhaps...

As to nausea while playing games, this is the first time I have ever heard of it. I'm rather surprised. Then again, the only time I ever get nauseous is when I'm properly ill.

Do you normally play in room with the lights off? If so try playing with a good amount of lighting in the room, also it depends on the distance you are sitting from the TV. Some people just have very sensitive equalibrium....don't go having a seizure!laugh

I have the same issue with Mirrors Edge and a few other FPS and Driving games. I did read at one time that the cause is the simple fact that you the player are sitting still. But FPS and other games trick your mind into thinking you are moving, and if I remember correctly this winds up effecting the inner ear fluid. And all this combined will cause nausea and headaches. The best thing you can do for games like this is know your limit and only play it that long. Easier said then done, I was playing Duke Nukem on the PC quite a few years ago and played for three or so hours, when I was done I went to bed because I almost puked. I couldn't play anything for a few days after that.
If it moves, kill it

Both, but a majority of the games I play aren't FPS games so I've never eally had a problem. I started sitting further back and playing during the day so hopefully that'll help.Misfit119 said:

Never happened to me with this game. Only game that really gets to me is Left 4 Dead. It gives me headaches and makes me lightheaded. Guess it has to do with the fast movements you do and such. plus lighting.

But I never noticed it for me on Mirror's Edge.
