What was it, 5 years of development with a 60 million dollar budget?

Duke nukem all over again. Glad I didn't trust Gearbox enough to buy this, will pick it up when it's in the bargain bin.

I have never judged a game off of reviews, only my own decisions on the game. So I may try this game one day down the line. But I haven't had much respect for Gearbox lately, with the Borderlands 2 DLC being outsourced and the main game of BL2 feeling overall very underwhelming and repetitive.

I feel ripped off even paying £20 for this. So dissapointing, I will think twice before I decide to buy another Gearbox title day 1.

Same issue here, got it for Valentines, at least the MP was actually quite fun for a little bit. It took a lot of convincing to let me trade it in whilst it still has value

Well, I bought it for € 50. Another reason to play it until I'm on 1000 G. Still, it's not *that* bad, but the price-performance ratio is really bad.

perhaps if everyone was aware as to why the game shipped out in the condition it did then people would be more understanding. heres a hint :

**ask sega about sueing other companies despite being told the game still was not ready to be released.**

Im glad that someone else feels the same as me about Borderlands 2 or as I call it Snorederlands 2.

The game wasn't ready after 6 years? Then that's the developers fault.

It's amazing how this game managed to fail on so many levels.

What stands out most for me is the bizarre retcon of the third movie. The new events in the game are more unsatisfying than the events in Alien 3.

Oh please, five years and a budget that size should have been more than enough. Not to mention how much of Aliens was outsourced, Gearbox clearly took the time or money (or both) Sega gave them and spent it on Borderlands. That or they're just massively incompetent, pick your poision.

Not horrible... but definitely a significant shortfall. The screenshots are about the best thing from this game... the rest was pretty disappointing given what could have been. It feels like they kept going, the product kept changing hands (probably through company turmoil and people leaving, or being taken and cocooned in the sub-level of the atmosphere processor), then it was just rushed out to get rid of it and scape it off their desk. "Is this gonna be a standup fight, sir, or another bughunt?" I'll let you decide... but really without trying to deceive potential gamers... "It's a bughunt."
    *insert facepalm macro here*

NOT BROKEN?!?! Are you serious dude? is no one else here aware of and/or experiencing entire profile/data erasure? Since the geniuses at Gearbox decided to not have a local save component for the game and your progress, many people are experiencing a glitch that essentially wipes out every bit of your statistical profile/data. I was about rank 20 marine and 5 alien and after playing one night, I started the game the next day and it was if I had never played. I even had to recalibrate the brightness. all stats, ranks, weapons, unlocks, challenges... GONE. Fucking bullshit.

It's sad because I was one of the VERY few who stood by the game upon disastrous release, because playing in co-op and just destroying aliens is fun enough for me. disappointing, yes. but can I still have some fun kicking alien ass in this game, sure.

Your review was spot on... until the very end. It is very very very broken for a bunch of us. I won't play again until they fix it. I am stuck at 21 achievements, but absolute zero statistical data and a 1-1 rank... super lame.
