Not really a trailer, just gameplay. But still a cool video. The True Musou activation looks nicer. More characters, awesome, graphics still look the same as the PS2 for the environment though. The characters looks awesome though, huge roster, about time it grew.

Me too. I liked it better than the two series that it pulls from, actually.

That pretty much sums up what I was thinking. Love the games though nothing ever seems to change. It's like they take the last installment and tweak a few things then release it. I really hope they added a lot more elsewhere outside the combat. I did notice the collecting of 'skill points' so that has potential.

More of the same... I'll take it.

Why does Xiahou Dun not have the cloth around his eye? he had it shot out by Lu Bu in a battle earlier in the series did he not?

    Earlier in the series...?

    1. DW is based on historic events, each game isn't a continuation of a storyline, it's a retread of the same era in history each time.

    2. It was an officer of Lu Bu's not him personally.

    3. It doesn't happen until Cao Cao and Liu Bei attack Xia Pi to kill Lu Bu, so the video could be before that happened.

    4. Which isn't to say that that is the reason he doesn't have some type of eye patch. Koei butchers history as it is, perhaps they decided to drop that little detail.

Same music, same graphics, same time period, same basic gameplay. Gotta love Dynasty Warriors! It's like the madden of button mashers.

I'm thinking that 3) is the most likely reason. That part of the video is fighting the Yellow Turbans, which is pretty much always the earliest part of the game. It'd be nice if he didn't actually lose his eye until said battle and then eyepatch'd it up from there.

Either way, I skipped over DW5 and 6 and the Orochi series, so now I'm excited to be getting back into this.

Suuuuuuuper excited. I just wish I had the money for this when it comes out. But that's okay. Must be careful with my cash right now.

Dragon Age II was my first game priority. For now.
I'm proud to have played and enjoyed every DW. I'm excited to get this one when the price drops.

They changed the combat system in 6 entirely, and it was a much weaker game for it. Previews of this say they've gone back to the system from 5, so I've gone from not being interested to probably buying it at launch...

    Like the Musou's.

This has always been a first day purchase for me. I'm going to give Troy a miss I until it drops in price, def want another Orochi game.

Correction it's based on a novel and that novel is loosly based on chinese history.

Holy shit. I'm so glad you pointed out that glaringly obvious and huge difference. I stand corrected. That changes everything.

Didn't they say that in the case Xiahou Dun that some of his story missions are set before the incident with the loss of his eye?...It stands to reason then that one of his costumes is with the patch and another without no?
