    Group B lives on!

Codemasters have released a new trailer for their upcoming title, DiRT 3.

The trailer showcases some of the legendary Group B cars in some sweet slow-mo action across some of the conditions you will see in the upcoming game. Rallying on snow, tarmac and pure dirt during the day and night, these ridiculously super-powered beasts will be being put through their paces, as players will have the joy of driving the Ford RS200, MG Metro 6R4, Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2 and more!

But just incase you are not familiar with what exactly the whole 'Group B' thing is, Codemasters' themselves have a give a description included with the video:

Group B is synonymous with a short-lived period in Rally where light regulation and few restrictions on car development led to manufacturers producing some of the most exciting cars that the sport has ever seen. Group B cars have since entered Rally folklore since cars with their astonishing power couldn't have been developed during any other era of the sport. Sadly, these iconic cars were involved in an increasing number of accidents, which resulted in the banning of Group B Rally in 1986.
    Here's the trailer:

The revival of Group B Rally is almost upon us! (In game of course)

DiRT 3 is still set for global release on May 24th, 2011.

Never really been a fan of the DiRT series, mainly because I like track cars that grip the road, but the RS200 was an absolutely amazing car during its time.

I'm assuming you've never had an overwhelming emotion toward any car ever produced, or one that brought back fond memories or was the car you had pinned on your bedroom wall as a kid. Whether it be the an old E-Type, 300SL, Daytona, GT350 or something new like the SLS, Aventador, 458, etc., etc.

Played this about 6 weeks ago along with the Group B cars.

Not allowed to say anything because of the NDA, but I'm allowed to do emotes I reckon.

On the contrary. I looooovvveee my Forza and NASCAR (both games and real life). As well as my cars (been a proud owner of a 1983, 1985 and 1987 Volvo 240's - not exactly 'classic' cars, but mighty awesome in their own right). I was just saying that usually the videos for racing games are just about the action, crashes, graphics or whatever and that's it. This video was almost making me cry because of the cars and music.
