TA Top Five: Games of 2007

    Decent picks. I've played 4, and loved each of them.

    Forza 2, Crackdown (bought for Halo 3 beta), Halo 3 and The Orange Box.
    [20:15:34] Dimmock : Turtles never lose, they live longer then us so it is at worst a delayed win.

    2007 was a brilliant year for 360 games. All of the top 5 (excluding Rock Band) will undoubtedly be strong competitors for Game of the Generation too.

    Who didn't make barricade from transformers in Forza 2? Awesome game, auction house was cool to see just what people came up with in designs.

    Well, I haven't "officially" played those four (they aren't on my card but I've dabbled around with three of them to see what they were all about), but I've covered most of the others as I've completed Assassin's Creed (which I found superior to the sequal in every way), Guitar Hero 3 (huge rhythm gamer in the earlier days but preferred RB to GH), Rock Band (which I easily logged 1k+ hours playing and am still ranked #3 in the world for Expert Guitar), and Bioshock (which, like pretty much everyone else, I found to be one of the best games of the generation).

    Assassin's Creed, Rock Band, and Bioshock are in my top 10 games in the Game of the Generation voting.

    Edit: And as far as games that weren't mentioned, I think Beautiful Katamari was one of the better games of 2007 and deserving of an honorable mention.

    Rockband over Guitar Hero? Each to their own I guess, but I like it when the chords are circles and not LEGO bricks

    Yep. CoD 4, Halo 3, Forza 2, Crackdown, Bioshock, Guitar Hero III (the best one by far IMO), Mass Effect etc.

    So many damn fine games. Quite a few of them I haven't played in years.

    Played nearly all of them at some point. Yes even last air ender as I really enjoyed the story(yeah right)

    Played 7 of these games and 2007 was a good year for gamers, COD really went down hill from here.

    Played Call of Duty 4 years later. Call of Duty 3 was better. I don't think I'll ever forgive the series leaving World War II.

    But Halo 3 and Rock Band are easily my definitions of gaming for this current generation.

    Orange box is still the best game out there by far. Can't understand why a lot of people don't like it.

    Some amazing games came out in 2007 agreed with most of these.
    Bioshock wins this year though. That game when you first played it was/is such a beautiful experience.
    They still have my fav collectables of any game too!
