Wordament Leaderboards Overhauled

I just reached the requirements, leaderboards updated afterwards and no achievement :( 11,000+ with 102 complete games completed.

Edit; Never mind, just needed to exit game and enter again :)

So would I get this when I go onto Windows 8 later?

Sorry I can;t confirm what my score etc was before and after as I wasn't paying attention to it. I think you require 10000 points and 100 games played since the leaderboard change. Keep track of the score using the leaderboard and games played in the period by doing total score in say weekly divided by average in weekly and you will have games played in that period. However I don;t think I had 100 games played in the period and I still got it =/ definitely had 10k though.

And when I went onto win8 I had to put it onto the correct language (for me arabic) and then I got the achievement.

Awesome! Time to play Wordament (Arabic or Danish)! I hope it unlocks on WP too I'm playing on Win8.

Wait.. Do you have to have 100 games played in the language, or the entire game... if language... Eat shit.

You don't even have to have all 100 within the 24 hours, you can spread them out and then reach top 250 when you're ready. I just got it to pop. Some additional notes:

It has to be 100 full games (the stat shown on the main screen), not number of games played when you look at your own statistics in the leaderboard screen. The latter shows partial games, which apparently don't count towards the minimum games for the achievement. (I believe you have to play for at least 1:50 of the 2:00 game time for it to count as a full game.)

The leaderboards have to update after you pass the 100 game mark. The leaderboards update about once an hour. You can see the time since the last update by going to the leaderboard that you're interested in and scrolling all the way down to the bottom.

After the leaderboards update, you may still have to exit out of the game and then go back in for the achievement to pop. I had to; I was playing through the leaderboard update and never got the achievement, but after I exited out and then went back in, the achievement popped right after the game connected to wordament.net.

Not unlocking for me whatsoever. Ranked well within the top 250 on multiple boards on the Arabic language. Restarted everything I can think of. Help? :(

I think it only has to be overall. I definitely do not have 10,000 points and 100 complete games in the past 24 hours and I got the achievement today.

However, I personally cannot be positive that it isn't 10K and 100 games over the lifespan of the specific leaderboard, since I was in the top 250 of all the non-all-time leaderboards when this popped for me. In other words, I can't rule out that you need 10K and 100 games today for the daily leaderboard, 10K and 100 games in a week for the weekly leaderboard, etc. But I don't think this is the case. I think it's just a one-time overall qualification before you're eligible for acheivement ranking in any of the leaderboards.

I needed 10k points and 100 games for the day in Arabic. Had 9,550 at the hourly update, got 450 more and it popped. Sounds like if you have played a bit recently it could pop, but if like me you haven't played in ages you may need both 100 games and 10k points for it to pop.

It's quite annoying that we have to try to reconstruct the exact requirements from our separate experiences rather than having some clear statement in the game or documentation about what the implemented requirements are. Games with these sorts of achievements with lots of hidden qualifications and no in-game clear indication of whether one has met clear thresholds are quite annoying. I wish game designers would learn from that! More of them should do the sort of internal achievement progress tracking that games like Portal and Shadow Complex do.

It doesn't help that this achievement is clearly unreliable about when it actually triggers. It's thankfully not buggy in that you can miss it entirely (or, at least, that seems rare). But it seems to trigger at some semi-random point after you actually qualify for it, and it's not clear how much of that apparently random delay is due to just game bugginess or lag and how much is due to other hidden requirements that we're guessing it.

Score 18.549 Games 107 (Danish Beta). Achievement unlocked on both Wp and Win8 =) weekly #161 today #30. Took me 2.5 hours 60 games.

I had to load the game once on WP and twice on Win8 for it to register.

It's amusing seeing how many TA regulars are in the Arabic lobby.

Over 100 complete games, almost 12k total and no achievement. Restarting didn't work. Will play until I get 10.000 on the yearly board. Maybe the yearly reset causes the earlier earned score to not count.

It has to be over 10.000 points after the reset for it to count. Went from 9.600 to 11.000 and it unlocked after the next leaderboard update.

Just waiting to get then 100 complete full games now. There are quite a few of us in the lobby only scoring 1 word per game to keep it going. Hopefully most of us can get it this weekend.

i just take Wordament on my iPhone, i'm glad this is a free app' and a free 50GS :P
