I like to find out early. Maybe instead of calling it the wednesday releases, you could call something longer potential xbla.arcade titles this week. I knower it means more work for you guys, but if I know ahead of time I'm more likely to pick up a points card and then the title by wednesday

The problem is that there's a lot of changes from Monday to Wednesday as Major Nelson hasn't been all that reliable lately. So anything you see on Monday well, might not actually be there when Wednesday comes around.

And then people will start complaining at the newshounds for giving wrong information so there is no way to win :(

OT: Will have to try the trial for this one, looks different indeed headspin < like that thing.

Exactly. Of the last four weeks, three have had to be updated to do partial or misinformation. We're generally most concerned with having accurate information and this seems to be the best way!

Post it on a Tuesday with a disclaimer that items are potentially subject to change?

Burgertime on intellivision was full of good memories. I am not sure of the version I saw in the video ad. Sometimes a face lift on the game doesn't make a better game.

Another thing about posting on Wednesdays instead, and highlighted by today's post actually, is that we can include launch trailers in with the announcement. Instead of reading about a game, and having to go find another post with the trailer, everything is located in one spot.

That being said....I have no interest in Burgertime World...my XBLA fix for the month was Guardian Heroes, which remains awesome.

I'd rather know in advance too.

Any changes can simply be added to the original post, as we've seen recently.

Why not a release list on the sidebar of the 'Home' page with XBLA and retail, which can be updated when changes occur.

I'll try the trial version as well, but I am quite disappointed that there's only one new XBLA title this week :(

Or you guys could just go to www.majornelson.com and check out what he has up usually over a week in advance?

If he updates it... he's not overly consistent in that regard.
    Life, it's funny that way.

I'm happy with the timing of the updates, personally.

That's sort of the point of the whole debate. His information is frequently incorrect, especially when it comes to XBLA releases (usually in the form of missing info).

Plus, if we can shoe-horn in launch screens/videos, this has an added value to the post over Major Nelson (not to mention the download link/description). Of course if we go back to putting this up early this point is moot.

For the rest of you, thanks for your feedback so far.

Exactly this. He puts up stuff that isn't complete/doesn't have prices/doesn't wind up being released.

Buuuut, if people prefer the earlier date, then that is what we'll go with. Just figure people would rather have the information all in one go. This is obviously an easy thing to change. :)

Edit: Ninja'd by a faster hound!

Let's face it Microsoft has it's head up it's own ass. Especially when it comes to XBLA. The SECOND there is actual competition (psn? puhleeze) M$ will be left in the dust. Honestly M$ doesn't think their shit stinks. I for one can't wait for the inevitable comeuppance.
