No-one so far has made a solid case as to why someone who doesn't like COD's online should like this game. As far as I'm concerned, it looks to be quite awesome so far, but an online only game? I'd never pay full price for that, as at the end of the day the experience is severely limited to the ability of my internet being able to run the thing at a steady ping, which also brings their servers into question.
If there are dedicated servers, do they mean people in Australia and New Zealand get servers, or just the 'important' people? I hate to be a cynic, but for too long us bastards in the Oceanic region have been treated like dog shit.
That being said, I'm not willing to jump on the hate train for this game because it is 'cool'. I actually think it shows a lot of promise, and hope it is successful. For too long shooters have been the same old crap, and I'd like the more arcade-y and fluent controls of old being tested in this new age and refined, and the addition of mechs doesn't hurt either.
So far I am keeping an eye open, but not sold.

(Thank god 'exclusive' doesn't actually mean exclusive anymore!)
The word exclusive only means exclusive when it suits someone. That is what I have learned.
"That isn't really an exclusive because it has blah blah in it"
"That isn't an exclusive because it is also on xxx"
"It is an exclusive because no-one plays it on xxx anyway"
