What's with all the people trying to use emulators? Why not just play the web version, or the Windows phone version, or the windows 8 version, or the iOS version? You're on the internet right now so you can at least get the web version right?

Or is everybody here just dying to get an easy completion. I was just glad I got a boggle game for my Galaxy III phone but I guess there are going to be lots of people who play this on the web and the android emulator (and the other versions if they get their hands on it) just for a few quick wins.

I'm going to be playing this long after I snag that final 100 games achievement, that I can show this game on my gamercard is just a small extra. And I won't be starting even the web version, my touch screen works much better.
    Easy completion :)
It's only 50 gamerscore, how is that worth the hassle of emulators and multiple times the same game completed?
each to his own. i'll figure out the emulator eventually.

This crashes on the Kindle Fire, just to let people know.
I managed to get enough of a run on mine yesterday evening to max this though...
When life gives you lemons, rinse them for as much gamerscore as possible.

For those that want this and don't have an android phone, you can download the official android emulator here: http://developer.android.com/tools/help/emulator.html, and then download wordament and play it on the PC with the official emulator. It is completely legal to do this. You do need a google play account though. If you have a youtube account, you can use that.

Alternately, you can use the 'Youwave Home' android emulator here: http://youwave.com/ . With it's free ten day trial, download the google play marketplace app, and then download wordament through the google play marketplace app, then play it.

I recommend the youwave emulator over the complicated official android SDK emulator.

    Hope this helps!
Awesome! Was gonna try to get a friend to let me use their phone but this should be much easier!

Wonder if this works will all Windows versions? Or Mac?
    We shall see...

I see that and clicked the link. Perhaps I'm dim (I know that I know nothing about setting up VM's) but I don't know that I'm doing or how to set it up and / or how to access the google store.
Are you referring to my AndroVM solution? Were you able to install VirtualBox? After installing VirtualBox, you should be able to double click on the OVA file I linked. That should import the VM into VirtualBox and start it up. Once you've finished logging into the VM, there should be an icon in the upper right that says Shop. That's where you'll find Wordament.

There are some incompatibilities between VirtualBox and Youwave. You may need to uninstall Youwave first if you already tried that. Billy Horrible said:

I enjoyed the challenge of getting it to work. I also find it amusing that I have Wordament completed 5 times. It is a bit silly, but that's part of the fun, at least for me.
I downloaded and unzipped the file, but don't see an exe or installer. I also have the OVA file that you linked to. I agree with you that the challenge adds to it and that it would be amusing to have this on my tag 5 times - I don't want to go buy a WP and Android just to get them. I'll probably get an ipod touch soon for the ios version since I need a new MP3 player anyways,

Fair enough, I guess only he without sin should go rock climbing (or something like that, I'm not very religious), and I have enjoyed many things which other people thought was weird (best example I can think of: I like Jar Jar).

Sorry, I'm not sure what file you downloaded and unzipped. I should have linked directly to the VirtualBox download page. Here are the installers for Windows and Mac. (As mentioned before, if you already installed Youwave, you should uninstall it first due to incompatibilities with VirtualBox.)

After installing VirtualBox, double clicking on this AndroVM image should start up an Android 4.1.1 VM. You'll be asked for your Google ID. After the initial setup, go to the Shop (upper right corner) and search for Wordament.

Hmm dunno sounds dodgy. Like the kind of that-would-get-you-banned dodgy because of it being unauthorised software.

How would the official Android developer emulator be unauthorized software?

Because you're not using an actual Android device to play it

And if I bought a game using the emulator, do you really think they'd care? No, they'd be happy I bought the game. Sure, they'd prefer that I bought the Android phone or tablet, but if they really didn't want people like me using the emulator, they'd make it so that only developers had access to the emulator.

on the same note - anyone able to get smartglass working thru the youwave emu? I can get wordament running thru it, just smartglass is giving me a bit of grief. Anyone know how to use the win7 & win8 emu (seems there is no win8 emu on other platforms yet except for the win8 platform) thru SDK / visual studio or whatever it is (I can now access the win7 emu & load wordament up but then cannot sign in to windows live) - is there a way just to run the wordaments thru it & smartglass - if possible?

these are official emu softwares for 'testing' games running on diff platforms except xbox of course (although with SDK you can develop xbox games I see), so if my pc can run 'em - why not eh! - Its my PC 'software' afterall & not my xbox I'm tinkering with so its got **** all to do with the moaners what I do.

ADDON: anyone else trying this method might as well leave it for now, after some searching found an article stating that basically microsoft see's the emulator as an untrustworthy method of security for windows live ID's - so you won't be able to try this method anytime soon, until they maybe possibly implement it, if enough developers on the windows SDK emu state they need it as a feature, to check that kind of thing, in regards to an application they are working on that would need them to sign into a windows live ID. *um yeah...... I don't see that happening anytime soon.

If you want to check back later, you can go to Full Games List and set the Platform to Android.
