Maybe if they released more WP games then they would get more sales instead of releasing them to other phone brands.Don't be ridiculous. The Xbox integration is a nice touch, and it helped make WP noticeable when WP7 rolled about, but at most the presence of Xbox achievements in a game would matter to 0.002% of smartphone buyers worldwide. And that percentage is only so high if you assume the presence of achievements matters to everyone on TA (which it doesn't).
WP doesn't get sales because it doesn't have the majority of the big apps, doesn't have all the updates for the few big apps that are there, and doesn't get the trendy apps (or gets them well after they are trendy). Not due to the presence of lack thereof of Xbox-integrated games. That may be your opinion. But I have at least 20 people on my friends list who jumped to WP for the live enabled games. I just think Ms should be trying to keep their current and new users happy rather than slappin their games out on other mobiles. But hey I bet you already have an ios device so thats why you are plus for more to be released on itI have never owned an iOS device, and have had WP since WP7, but nice try
. Also, anecdotal evidence is not valid in these sorts of debates. Yes you may have many friends who use WP, but you also clearly spend a lot of time playing Xbox games and caring about achievements based on your profile's statistics and your general opinions on the matter. Therefore, it is more likely than the norm that you would associate with others of a similar mindset, and thus your group of friends is not an unbiased sample pool.
Again, as you pointed out, Xbox-enabled games on the phone got people to notice WP. However, it does not ultimately end up getting people from "notice" to purchase, or from purchase to continued customer, for the vast majority of the market. App and feature availability that directly feeds into quality of life and quality of usage statistics are far more important than Xbox games ever will be, and WP simply does not compete on those levels with iOS and Android.
