I read an article when I saw this news a couple of days ago that said Sumo has never made a bad game. I'd like to remind the writer of that article about Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox 360. Yikes.

'New studios vision is better aligned with the publishers..' All I read is 'Deep silver wanted a puppet and Yaegar didn't want to recycle the original that made it so popular'. But I'm probably just being cynical.

Was just thinking about this one. I'm glad to hear that someone else has taken the wheel, and really hope the game is good. smile

Reminder that Techland, creators of the Dead Island IP, willingly gave up said IP to Deep Silver just because working with them was such a shitty experience that they didn't want to do again. They were constantly butting in to the development and changing things that didn't need to be changed.

Deep Silver can say what they want but it's pretty obvious Yager left the project for similar reasons.

Not good news at all sumo digital screwed up horizion 2 on the 360 a game full of glitches that digital sumo refuse to patch so don't be surprised when thet do the same with the dead islands games.angry

I've seen good games from Techland, Yager, and Sumo Digital.

I have not seen consistently good games from Deep Silver.

I have little faith for this release. It'll still probably be okay, like the previous Dead Islands. But I have a feeling a lot of the anguish that is trying to play Dead Island comes from Deep Silver's practices.
I work on achievements. Life sanity tip: don't work on achievements.

I'm excited about this development. I hope they take the time to get everything right, and to stay relatively true to the previous installments. I really like the series and want more!

Hopefully Tech land will make another dying light or similar game, I was going to purchase the revamps of dead island for xb1 under the impression tech land had made them

I really enjoyed the first dead island but it still felt like it was missing something. Hopefully this will be good. Wonder if they'll try and do anything like the zombait edition for this

So glad that this hasn't been allowed to just sink into obscurity.
