planting42 said:Action, FPS, SportsI guess I agree. I had considered FPS and then thought I'd leave it out insofar as the player is not shooting opponents who can shoot back. However, that is not a requirement of the current definition:

First Person Shooter: First Person Shooters test the player’s marksmanship abilities and use a perspective where the player is looking out from the protagonists eyes.

I'd ask that this one be revisited, as I don't see enough first-person shooting to justify that particular tag. The only times you shoot in first-person are when using some scoped rifles, the majority of the weapons (unscoped rifles, pistols, shotguns) are shot entirely in third person. Additionally, all movement is third person as well.

I agree with Vitiated, not nearly enough First-person in the game to justify it.

NinjaGaidenGUYS has registered their disagreement about the genres applied to this game
See above. Scopes can be removed from all weapons that have them, changing weapons that are first-person into third-person. All movement is in third-person, and all shooting with shotguns, unscoped rifles, and unscoped pistols is in third person. Remove FPS.

This alone wouldn't really help or hurt the case. There are some games where movement is in third person but combat isn't. A simple example of this would be the Fatal Frame games where you go from third person adventure to first person combat with your camera.

That said one of my normal examples of how this works would be Sniper Elite. You need to use your sniper rifles, which are first person, but the rest of the game is third person. Many people I know in the industry consider it to mix first and third person. However TA has it listed as third person shooter so I'm going to defer to that. Thus I'm going to back removal of FPS for this one.
Looking to boost any MP achievements I don't have for any game I own.

Mario and I agree, FPS doesn't seem to apply due to limited usage. I've removed the FPS tag.

We're happy to help. Sometimes it's hard because a game is in a debatable situation but when players can explain the situation to us, in case we haven't played it, it makes things much easier to act on.
