Twitter achievement glitched?

I finally created a Twitter account last night, and I am trying to get the achievement but it does not work? I put in my username and password and it just says "Something went wrong. Client is not permitted to perform this action." What am I doing wrong? Is there something I need to enable on Twitter?

Don't put in your username, rather the email address it's associated with then it will work

Looks like it might be dead for good now. No one has unlocked it since July it appears...
