Just thought I'd let everyone know that I finally got through to Hulu support staff about the broken achievements. Now we all know that they are broken due to the implementation of the UWP but it seems that none of them wants to admit that. Here are the 2 messages I have received from them.

Thanks for sending this email. My name is Oscar and I'm a Resolution Specialist at Hulu Support. I'll go ahead and try to run into the issue with the achievements on our Xbox One. I understand that not being able to get the final achievement can be troublesome when trying to gain a completion for a game/app.

If I have any questions I will reach out but I urge you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

    Oscar D.

I wanted to take the time and say thanks for reaching out and letting us know about the trouble you've been having with our Xbox One app. because of the information you provided we are currently investigating the issue with our dev team. I was able to run into this issue with the "The Reel World" achievement. We hope to have this fixed soon.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and appreciate your patience. If there's anything else I can do to assist you as we continue to investigate, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Hi TealRedeemer,
My name is Tyler and I'm a Resolution Specialist at the highest level of Hulu Support. Thanks again for reaching out to us about Xbox One achievements not triggering for the Hulu app.
First of all, I definitely want to apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for your patience, and I appreciate all of your efforts in working to troubleshoot the issue with Xbox One achievements not triggering with our application.
After finalizing our extensive investigation, I’m happy to share that we have an exciting update coming to our Xbox One application in the future. With this update, however, Xbox One Achievements will unfortunately no longer be featured with our application. As such, the aforementioned issue will not be fixed, and I do apologize for the disappointment here.
If you have any other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask. We look forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you and happy viewing,
    Tyler K.

I actually tweeted Xbox Support, mentioning that Movies & TV and Hulu were not unlocking achievements, and Hulu Support actually responded to let me know they were looking into the issue. So there may be hope yet.

Thanks for doing this. Progress (even getting anyone to acknowledge the problem, much less identify the cause) is glacial. But signs seem to indicate it's possible to get these broken app achievements turned on again. Keep up the pressure (politely and patiently)!

Updated OP with final response received earlier today. So it seems that Hulu is done for good. Odd word choice with saying the achievements will "no longer be featured" instead of just saying they wont be fixed. I suspect it has something to do with the upcoming Xbox home update which will remove the snap feature, and with it, the ability to even see App achievements at all. It seems like many peoples' wishes of Xbox One app achievements being erased from existence might actually be the case. Here's hoping!

A bit off topic but it's nice to see a company that's customer service is more that just a complete joke. I was so surprised to get messages that actually felt like they were written by an actual person. And to get a definitive answer is nothing short of a miracle. I don't think they realize how much respect they get from us for just giving an answer, even if it is what we don't want to hear. So much better than getting the silent treatment or the all to common "we don't have anything to say on that topic right now". Looking at you, Gears of War: Judgment. Then again, Hulu is a tv streaming service, not a game developer. So I guess that may be why lol.

Fwiw, I'm on the preview dashboard and app (well, Netflix--don't have Hulu) achievements are still visible by either pulling up the blade and navigating up to achievements or by configuring the achievement tracker, which shows achievement progress as an overlay.

That's not to say anything looks promising--nothing tracks or unlocks for Netflix still--but at least the achievements haven't been erased from all view. Yet.

So are you guys still having problems unlocking the achievements for Hulu? All of my other apps allow me to unlock achievements but none for Hulu.

Has anyone heard anything else? Because having this eat away at my completion percentage is very annoying.... if they aren't going to fix them then the achievements need to be completely removed so they aren't clogging up our %.

I just tried "the reel world" achievement and when it didn't pop I thought maybe it was because it was only one trailer I had watched 10x but finding pages about them being glitched or broken and not fixed is WAY more annoying than trying to find 10 different trailers.

and am I the only person who misses the snap feature? I liked it so much then after I Jgot used to and comfortable with the xb1 and everything new, they do the stupid update to change the home screen and remove the cool new feature... I still from time to time want to go to use the snap feature and then I'm like aww =(.

I don't know how they can have these up but not actually have them unlockable. If they decided to not support them then the new update should have removed those achievements as an option completely... Xbox and Hulu and whoever else that has literally unobtainable achievements need to have them removed so it doesn't screw over people who cant get them...

I'm pretty sure apps aren't included within your Completion percentage number.

Even after rebooting and starting your system and router again, if you cannot fix the issue, then the problem might be with the DNS server. This requires a manual fix and also contact your internet service provider. To solve the DNS issue you can select a free DNS available in your system.
