Dark Souls 3 got robbed. But as it looks Inside and for RPG of course Blood & Wine, my personal highlight of the year.

Inside will hopefully win a few awards instead of Uncharted winning eveything just to please the masses. I hope AngryJoe doesnt win it, I cant see him coming close to JackSepticEye since he gains about a million subscribers a month roughly.

I like AngryJoe long time fan but honestly hes sold out and become a typical youtuber. Ive had to discover other unbiased channels who actually do good reviews on a regular basis not once every month or two and instead churning out GOD AWFUL movie reviews and trailer reactions...roll

Like any award show, the actual pretense of recognizing greatness is BS.

At least the reveal trailers should be decent. And I think BioWare will finally show off Andromeda gameplay, which should be something to look forward to.

Hope Firewatch and DSIII pick up some awards.

I'd be interested to see Angry Joe win the trending gamer "award". I'm pretty sure he and Geoff hate each other after that awful super awkward interview.

Also, so much Uncharted!
link to super awkward interview? I've only heard of angry Joe thanks to his hilarious sonic free riders review and I only know jacksepticeye because my daughter tells me about him

None of the xbox one games deserves to win any game that needs a stupid update on day 1.

How about awards for the laziest programmers and most hated developer's after the game industry if full of them this is one of the reasons the games sales are down year on year

In a future Game Awards or VGA or whatever if the next Metal Gear is nominated but doesn't win they should have Kojima present the award and call up Konami & co for Metal Gear then when they get to the stage just go 'Lulz, nope' and call out the real winner.

My predictions:
GOTY, best art direction, best music/sound: Inside
Best game direction, best narrative: Naughty Dog
Best indie game: Stardew Valley
Best action game: Doom
Best action/adventure game: Uncharted 4
Best RPG: WoW: Legion
Best strategy game: Civilization 6
Best multiplayer: Overwatch (Siege launched in 2015)

i am sick of awards that try to call games that have just been released 'games of the year'. Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 have no business being considered. They are still in their hype after their recent release. and dishonored 2 as well.

Dark souls 3 GOTY.

BF1 and Gears 4 are right behind.

That shouldn't matter if you trust those voting. There's a list of outlets who get to vote for these awards which you can see on the site so if you have any issues with those voters, it shouldn't matter how recent a game is as you don't trust them anyways. Similarly, if you don't have any issues with them then you should trust them in this regard.

Most anticipated game: Red Dead Redemption 2 should win that by 90%+.

Pretty underwhelming offerings for Game of the Year IMO

DOOM better get some of the wins, especially for music as the soundtrack was outstandingly good.

It would be great if Titanfall 2 came away with something too to make up for the low sales volumes it has, it deserves far better.

Might as well call it the Sony awards. God of War should not be most anticipated, it won't be out until 2018 at the earliest. Last years most anticipated didn't get released this year either and rocket league beat out forza for best racer. Splatoon won best shooter over Halo 5. What a JOKE.

Also Boogie for tending gamer? That fat asshole doesn't even game.
