Also, last announcement had the letter S, this one has the letter B, which letter will be next? I actually kinda like that form of BC rollouts.

In the words of Tychus Findlay, "It's about damn time.". Now, let's work on getting some of the other retail, non-XBLA stuff BC, shall we?

Their is 303 games bc, so surely the post should say more than 300 games and not more than 200
If you exclude all of the regional variants there are under 300 games backwards compatible according to the official list, so I went with this more accurate number (as, as much as achievement hunters love playing 5 different versions of the same game, it's not a "different" game, just a different version).
If u look on wiki, it lists 303 different games and not one of them are the regional varients
Interesting, as the official list, from Major Nelson's blog, has 293.

Oh, I see what the problem is... the list of Wikipedia backwards compatible games lists games that have been confirmed to be coming to the program, but have not yet arrived. A lot of these have "TBA" next to them as a release date. You may use a different regional version of Wikipedia, so who knows if we are even looking at the same list.

Edit: I just ran the official list again and got a different number... I have no idea what is going on with those columns or if they just updated it or something. Either way, I'm not going to be picky about the difference between "over 250" and over "300" if the number is 303. Next time I'll just say "a lot." laugh
Haha. I could go and count them, but I'm not that bothered about it :p ps i wasn't trying to argue about it :)

But what will people complain about in every BC article now? laugh

Seriously though it was great of them to do it in a single batch, would love to see more series dumps of this nature in future BC announcements.
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 3, what else? Fantastic Announcement though, and proof that they do follow through. (though Skate 3, Burnout Paradise and Shadowrun also proved that). But at this point, I'm only hoping for a few more BC announcements:

    1. Fable Anniversary
    2. Mafia II
    3. Darkness 1/2
    4. Dragon Age Origins/2
and then the shot in the dark:
    5. Gun

Anything besides that is just bonus at this point.

I'm not either, haha! I was genuinely curious about the correct sum, but I gave up when I looked at three different lists and they gave me three different numbers laugh If 303 was correct, that would mean that the last backwards compatibility drop put us at exactly 300 (since this one added three titles), so that is quite the milestone.

Noticed the previously delisted dlc now appears to be available digitally. Is this the case for Bioshock 2 Korea as well?
What dlc was delisted? I wish the PC one would make a comeback

THis is great news early on I didn't think this BC thing would be supported for very long but MS are doing a great job more and more games I didn't get round to finishing becoming BC. smile

How about making the original Star Wars Battlefront games BC, eh? Still better than the stripped down current-gen rip-off we got.

While BioShock Infinite (Xbox 360) had been confirmed for the program at its announcement, this news comes despite the fact that some players insisted BioShock (Xbox 360) and BioShock 2 (Xbox 360) would be left out in the cold due to their remastered counterparts.
All three games were announced at that point, along with Halo Reach and Wars, Skate 3, and Call of Duty Black Ops.

Those are both original Xbox games. Aside from Phil Spencer saying it'd be cool there's no word about Xbox games being backwards compatible.

Capcom should do this with all their 360 versions of Resident Evil. I will not rebuy the Xbox one version of resident evil 4. But I do want to retire my 360!
It's not about video games. It's a feeling pervasive through all aspects of society. I'm gutted it's happened to games, but I completely expected it.

I was going to say this too. All three BioShock games were listed as "in-progress" on Uservoice for the past few months. Not to mention Infinite was remastered as well so why would only the first two BioShocks be in doubt due to their remasters?

This is good news, I bought an Xbox One during Black Friday sales but haven't used it yet, and in that period up until now a lot of my favorite games have been added to BC including these! I'm excited to play my old favorites on my new console

If you read the comments on almost any backwards compatibility article, any time someone brings up the BioShock games, all the responses from users are that it's "not coming to the program anymore because of the remasters" despite the fact that it's highly unlikely MS and the developers would go back on their word and decide to not make them BC.

Also, it was my understanding that only BioShock Infinite was confirmed for the program, due to the footage of it that was shown in the initial backwards compatibility video -- my apologies if this was a mistake and all three were confirmed at that time.

Edit: After researching, confirmed that you guys are correct and updated the article accordingly. Thanks for the correction toast

Two more games I can download onto my Xbox One and remove from my 360. As soon as everything is on my one, the 360 is going bye bye!

Lel at everyone complaining that these would never go BC due to the remasters. Maybe now I'll finally finish Infinite :)

Bioshite Infinite wont install on my Xbox One. You guys 100% sure it's BC?
Sometimes you have to reset Xbox when a game goes backwards compatibility while you're still on the console.
