BioShock Infinite had been confirmed for the program at its announcement, this news comes despite the fact that some players insisted
BioShock and
BioShock 2 would be left out in the cold due to their remastered counterparts.
All three games were announced at that point, along with Halo Reach and Wars, Skate 3, and Call of Duty Black Ops.
I was going to say this too. All three BioShock games were listed as "in-progress" on Uservoice for the past few months. Not to mention Infinite was remastered as well so why would only the first two BioShocks be in doubt due to their remasters?
If you read the comments on almost any backwards compatibility article, any time someone brings up the BioShock games, all the responses from users are that it's "not coming to the program anymore because of the remasters" despite the fact that it's highly unlikely MS and the developers would go back on their word and decide to not make them BC.
Also, it was my understanding that only BioShock Infinite was confirmed for the program, due to the footage of it that was shown in the initial backwards compatibility video -- my apologies if this was a mistake and all three were confirmed at that time.
Edit: After researching, confirmed that you guys are correct and updated the article accordingly. Thanks for the correction
