Achievement Reset

So recently I logged on and it asked if I wanted to use cloud or local data. I usually pick cloud but may have inadvertently picked local one time. Now when I play I'm getting those popups after I finish a match that I earned an achievement. Just today I got the one for 100 vs matches. I think this reset my progress including questing legend which had been at around 490.

Anyone else have this problem?

It's a known issue that the popups will reset. Nobody seems to know, and the developers refuse to tell us, if that means the achievement progress was actually reset. It doesn't help that most achievements in the game are buggy so you can't even assume that not unlocking on time means they reset.

I've had this happen and unfortunately I'm 99% sure this resets your progress. I've been playing since day 1 and mine reset last August and my 500 quests hasn't popped, so I can only assume that it reset. I had everything else done by that point, so I can't say if it affects anything else.

In the same boat as you, except I haven't unlocked Rank 40 either, but that gets reset every set anyway.

Very frustrating.

I think it screwed me over too. I only have 296 solo wins per the leaderboard but should have way more. I think it's time to quit this game.

I think more of us should email support. They told me they won't do anything about it, implying that they did in fact reset my progress without specifically stating it. Here's their responses:

Did you speak with WotC? Because yea, they won't be able to help because they aren't the developers, and aren't so much in control of them like a publisher like EA or Activision might be. You have to go straight to the devs. They may not be able to do anything either but definitely get to them.

How to find out developer contact info? Should I ask WotC?

They told me always pick cloud and it should work itself out. Dunno if there is a local save you can delete but no matter what you do, NEVER pick local as your saved game.

I know all that , but it’s been going on for a while every time I start up I have to go through picking cloud and accepting five new card sets and all of the archetypes. FFS.

See if you disconnect from live and find a local save then delete that.
