This'll be a great feature once it's been fully implemented and released to everyone! I've got a few games in mind and a few friends that I'd like to gift them to toast

Does anyone know how this affects regionally restricted games? For example, a fellow achievement hunting buddy of mine in the UK can't get Energy Cycle or Ben Hur over there. Would I be able to buy (I know BH is free, just speaking generally) games from the US, gift them to him, and they still be functional?

I have it as an insider. :)

Anyone has a gift to send? I'd love to have Energy Cycle. (Which is NOT in Ireland)

I do wonder how regional variants work for gifting and i mean ones that limit buying elsewhere and not ones you can get by region changing - Jurassic Park: The Game Achievements comes to mind

What interests me with this is whether XBox 360 & XBox Original Backward Compatible games on the XBox One will be entitled to this benefit?

And with that in mind, I'm wondering at the same time if one could gift a game that is not available in a region you live in, but they actually can purchase it and give it to you.

Some games in mind like this would be...

Cabela's Hunting Expeditions Achievements - Typical that this is the DOTW.

Jurassic Park: The Game Achievements

Crypt of the Serpent King Achievements

Canadian Football 2017 Achievements

Energy Cycle Achievements

Ben-Hur Achievements - Yeah, had to include this turd.

Tell him to change his console region. Can grab both of them.
My posts are often sarcastic.

Ben-Hur is Free to download, but I believe Energy Cycle costs $$$. So the downside I believe is finding a way to pay $$$ to download it. I think it's OK if you use PayPal etc, but if your like me and you use the Gift Cards with the 25-Digit Code, you've got a problem as I don't think the UK & USA Gift Cards work among another.

BTW - Ben-Hur is a POS, but if treated right it can be an easy 1000G. You have been warned.

Some US cards here https://www.cdkeys.com/xbox-live/gift-cards-points and https://www.offgamers.com/browse/game-card/consoles

Once region is changed on console you can add to your main account.

I wish Amazon.co.uk had some. I wish at the same time cause I've noticed the XBox One shows how much money in £££ & $$$ is stored on the associated account, that you could just buy a £££ Card as an example and then get the XBox One to conver it to $$$. Then boom... happy days.

To test the feature, I'm ready to receive a gift.
Welcome to TA, where stats are made up and some achievements do not matter.

I don't have access to check myself, but I'm sure that view terms button in the screenshot will answer our question about gifting items not available on the receivers end. Anyone had a look?
