Sad to see Mercury HG delisted, loved that game.
It's DLC has been De-Listed as well, just so you know.
Thanks buddy but I have thankfully already completed the DLC for the game...which is a rarity since DLC isn't usually my forte.

    Outcome To Everyone

Prepare Yourselves as I believe this is the year that you will see a lot of De-Lists, Discontinues & Shutdowns. If you are planning on getting certain games with online achievements done, any DLC for games you own but you need to buy. And finally any games you want to buy digitally but you currently don't own... now's the time to start thinking about it because by the end of the year, we will see a lot more that will be gone, shutdown or discontinued and you may regret not getting what you want.
Totally me now. Like not many XBLA games go on sale anymore and now I am totally thinking about buying some full priced before they are gone.

Any particular reason? I have heard nothing but good news about it, and it's on my backlog (games with gold), anything negative I should know about before starting to play it?

Burnout Paradise's delisting practically confirms the remaster/X1 port. EA probably doesn't want both on the marketplace and put up with the hassle of renewing old music licenses on the original.

    Shame about Deadly Premonition, though.

It only went BC recently. I guess I'll have to find a disc online and hope the update patches are still live.
The patches are hosted on the Xbox servers so long as it's not server based.

Ugh, always a shame to hear about these even if I hadn't intended on playing them. I'm no stranger to delistings since I was a huge Rock Band player and plenty of those songs are gone forever if you didn't by them. Shame, wish all content would just stay,

Strange to see Burnout Paradise on that list...it is a backward compatible title so shouldn't be a licensing issue (or they would not be able to distribute the files to the One) and is part of the EA Access vault if I am not mistaken. I bet this is temporary and it will likely return, especially if the rumored remaster happens.
Backwards compatible doesn't make it immune to delisting. At the time of making compatible, everything was fine. Publishers cannot produce more copies/downloads to sell if there is content in the game with expired rights (music and trademarks). The game is ten years old so those rights may have lasted only that long. If it is something like music, EA can relist with removed content (like San Andreas has been done by R*). Any new buyers of the game will get a different version but in most cases for old games, it just isn't viable.

Owners of the game still get access to the game to download, be it digital or having a disc inserted.

Also Deadly Premonition has different publishers, so they have their own rights on a region basis. I think there are three backwards compatible versions (US, EU and Red Seeds Profile (JP - shared achievements with EU version).

Some good game they've delisted, Mercury Hg was a fun puzzle game I found. Burnout Paradise was good, great with friends though.
    Wouldn't know where to start.

Ignore the fool. It's one of the most fun racing games there is.

I can see why he's upset. I just bought all 3 pieces of dlc and all 3 are 108kb each, your not paying for dlc your paying to access stuff that's already in the game.

Glad I have Swarm at least... although it seemed to be a lot more difficult than the devs originally summarized.

That's simply not true. The reason it is that way is since Burnout Paradise is an open-world racing game, for players that have the Big Surf Island DLC to be able to host a game with non-DLC gamers, they had to "level" the playing field and make everyone's Paradise City compatible with each other. So they released a pretty big title update (for the time) at over 1GB.

That's why the DLC's are only a few KB. Not because it's in the base game, but because it's in the title update.

I had a look at Burnout Paradise's 360 store page yesterday to redownload it and was surprised that there wasn't the option to do so, it wasn't really a problem as it can easily be downloaded from download history. The other delistings don't bother me too much as I have physical copies of the games that could have been a problem.

Didn't know anything about a remaster of paradise, but I'm kind of sad. One thing I've wanted for years is a burnout collection. Loved them all especially 3!
Having a remaster of the last one just isn't worth it for me.

They should really let us know if they’re going to delist something but then again I’m forgetting this is Microsoft we’re dealing with.

Hmm, might jump and finally buy Burnout's DLC just to be safe. Have Big Surf but still need the other 2.

The only reason the game would be delisted is due to some kind of soundtrack licensing since the game has no licensed cars to my knowledge there would be no other reason to delist the game, and it would be easier to just discontinue selling the original and re release the game with different songs which they already were planning to do.

Unless this is just some temporary marketplace error which if that's the case then shock

Also to your main point games get delisted after becoming backwards compatible its not unseen at all, Deadly Premonition is on this list and Forza Horizon has been delisted for almost a year and that last one is a Microsoft title.

I honestly wish Xbox had a policy where delistings and server closures would be announced at least a month in advance.
