Elliot Pierson has registered their disagreement about the genres applied to this game
I really see no adventure aspects to this game. Walking dead, yes, there are optional explorable areas. This game, no, there is no more than about 5 minutes worth of optional/ off rails content/ area.

Are you proposing we change it from Adventure to On Rails?

Point and click what? He explicitly stated that he didn't believe it is an adventure game?

I mean what else would fit? There is practically no off path adventuring, so it can't be an adventure game. It's hard to really call it anything coz it's so short. I guess just point and click only because that's all you can do. You can't move without point and click mechanics and theres nothing else really going on, you literally just point and click

this is the sites current definition of adventure

The Adventure genre includes games where the player takes part in an interactive story. The gameplay typically involves gathering information and items to solve puzzles and advance a story driven plot.

I would say that already fits pretty well..nowhere does it mention offpath exploration, optional areas, or open world content

Hmm, guess I was thinking more about the words definition than the genre definition for here. Fair enough!
