I'm trying to play the 360 version of Walking Dead Season 2. Xbox One is connected fine and all online functionality seems to be working. When I boot up the game, I bring up the 360 menu and choose "connect to Xbox Live" and it then tells me that I can't connect to Xbox Live, error code 8007007A. I've tried resetting my console and it didn't fix it. I haven't played a BC game in a few months but I've never had this problem before. Please tell me someone knows a fix.

I just tried it on an alt account on this same Xbox and it connects just fine. What is this utter BS? Why can't my main account connect?

I tried deleting and redownloading my Xbox One profile and I deleted my 360 cache on the One as well. Now when I try to download my 360 profile it just gives me the 8007007A code!

I'm guessing your console is connected through wifi? I used to have this issue, and as soon as I plugged in an ethernet cable instead, it resolved itself.

No, it's wired into a wireless router, I use direct connection for my Xbox.

This isn't just happening to me either. This is happening to hundreds of people, maybe more. Just looks at all the posts in the help forums on this issue made in just the last 24 hours: https://forums.xbox.com/en-us/search?activity=Day&forumI...

Hundreds of people can't play any of their 360 games and not a peep from anyone.

Huh, well at least it's not a problem on your end then. Assume it'll be fixed soon if that's the case.

Xbox is completely ignoring it. People have been unable to log in for over a week. We've been unable to access out 360 accounts at all. I get the same error code whether I try to log in via BC or on my actual Xbox.

I'm having the exact same issue using wireless, have contacted Xbox support a couple of times but getting no reply, I tried all the steps I've found on the net and nothing is working - I hope they fix this soon as I just bought a few BC games to play online

I assume this eventually got resolved? Or did you have to do something special to get it to work? I’ve already deleted and resynced my profile to my Xbox One. I play more 360 games on my One since I don’t have many One games and I’ve been having the same issue (with a different error code) on my back compat games for almost a week now. I can’t find anything on the internet about other people having this issue or Microsoft saying anything is wrong despite one of my friends confirming he is having the same issue also.

I am having the same problem for about a few days now. Got in contact with a specialist at Microsoft and they said this was an issue on their end and they were going to fix it in 24-48 hours. But it’s been days, and still no fix.

I am having the same problem here. I have already tried all available options (delete accounts, reset router, reset xbox, edit router config, change Live Region, pray, call Jon Snow...). Nothing seems to help.

this is also happening for some non-bc titles. And even while every other functionality (parties, logging in your profile etc.) is working.

Tonight we tried (4 people) to create a lobby in sanctum 2 with no success (failed to create etc., no network options in the sub-menu). I've tested other titles in my catalogue and one of them has the same issue (a bc title this time: final fight double impact; this title doesn't even see me as logged in on xbox live). Another (non-bc) apparently worked (final exam). I have no idea what's going on... for sure it's something that is having an impact on different titles regardless of their bc status.

Also it doesn't seem to be caused by specific (individual) network settings. We had 4 people with very different network settings, and none of us was able to create a lobby.

I’m having this issue now too. Has anyone heard anything or found a way to fix it?

Guys, I fixed the glitch yesterday, deleting the game from the xbox and downloading it again. Now I am back online while using the X360 emulator.

unfortunately it didn't work for sanctum 2 (so, I assume that other titles may as well be unresponsive to this approach), though it's great to hear that for other titles uninstalling and reinstalling may be a solution.

Probably for some titles the best thing to do is to wait until an actual fix is issued by MS...
