2urvive WT
2urvive or not 2urvive, that is the question. Luckily for us all, easy achievements is the answer!
The graphics are lame, the game is basic but it is consistent and the added bonus of co-op. The zombies (which I’ll refer to as Z’s) might not be scary, but they make up for it with numbers and variety. It has a story as well but I mashed through it so I can't comment much more than it exists. If the graphics are any indicator, I'll assume the story is pretty basic too.
This walkthrough will be set up with general advice, quest explanations and a direction to obtain each achievement. There may be easier ways of beating levels and/or different strategies you could utilize. I pretty much stick with turrets because of the overwhelming number of Z's that come from every flipping direction. Let's get this party started.
2urvive:
Welcome to 2urvive.
After booting up the game, this first screen you’ll come across is this one:
Select credits from the main menu to unlock:
Now select solo or multiplayer depending on if you have company or not. There will be 3 options, the one in the middle is locked and you need to select MODE STORY [2URVIVE]:
EPISODE 1: PROLOGUE
Press to skip through the introduction. The game will begin by instructing you to walk with and aim with . Next you are tasked with destroying 3 red barrels ( to shoot). There is one in the top left side of the screen, one on the left side of the screen and one on the right side. After that the game will direct you towards a box.
Go to the box and press which will open an area where you can buy weapons. Nothing you can do at the moment, so select the same gun you had before and the screen will change. Now go to the turret on the right side and press again. This opens up the turrets options but you need money first.
The game now teaches you to change your weapons use the and . To change your grenades use and . To throw said grenades, you press , to swing your melee . Next task will be to throw a grenade. Skip through the conversation and it will end with a cutscene of a news anchor before you unlock:
EPISODE 2: RESISTANCE
Now the game really begins. The objective here is to survive and you will be attacked by zombies. Pretty simple here just remember to use your melee if they get too close. After the first wave they will talk and mention needing a turret, ignore this.
Note the location of your upgrade box, for now save up some cash. The next wave of enemies will be announced and you repeat what you just did. Don't worry about shooting the NPCs because there is no friendly fire damage. White shirt zombies seem to take more damage to kill. Before the third wave starts, purchase a turret on each side of the screen.
Change of scenery and task. You must protect the family. There are new explosive zombies, but you can use these to your advantage. Try to detonate them while they are in large crowds to do a kid of collateral damage. You can identify them by the orange cracks in their overly large bodies. Place turrets to prevent Z's from reaching the location in the pic below;
Press to speed up wave arrival. Skip the conversation at the end.
EPISODE 3: TRY
Your new goal is to repair the car in the pic below. To repair it you must mash against the jeep, between waves is highly suggested. Don't press to speed up wave arrival. It is advisable to leave 1 or 2 Zombies alive at the end of a wave to get bonus clicks in until your NPC kills it.
After the jeep is repaired you will drive it. You will hit zombies, but do your best to avoid trees and avoid explosive barrels. Eventually, you crash and the level ends.
EPISODE 4: HOPE
Here, you must protect the tank
Throw down some turrets around it and after 2 waves a BOSS appears
The BOSS spawns smaller versions that die and spawn even smaller versions. Just stay away from the BOSS and blast it, nothing fancy here. When it dies you will unlock:
EPISODE 5: SHOPPING
You are given the task of providing protection to the entrance, which is a fancy way of saying survive 2 waves.
Afterwards, you will enter a store and you will have to mash on boxes and search them. You lose if you partner dies and this is the only level I had it happen on. Get a fire turret up asap and try to stay close to it. Between waves is the best time to search boxes. 2-3 waves tops and you are done.
EPISODE 6: EMERGENCY
Survive 1 wave and an alarm will sound. Get a flame turret and a shotgun turret before the 2nd wave starts. $2,000 for a med pack and a 3rd turret (assault) before the 3rd wave. For the 4th wave I bought assault hard and land mines. Drop mines between you and the turrets, stay close to the flame and don't walk on your mines.
EPISODE 7: RUN AWAY
BOSS fight, but this time in a jeep and the BOSS can shoot. I suggest dodging and moving a lot by the top of the screen while you shoot backwards at the BOSS. to cool down your weapon. When he retreats, drop to the bottom of the screen because a little one will appear at the top. Stay at the bottom and repeat the strategy but in reverse.
EPISODE 8: NIGHTFALL
Simple level with a good spot to hide to the left of the jeep. Before the 2nd wave get 2 turrets, 1 flame and 1 assault. By the 3rd wave get another flame turret. Before the 4th wave grab another assault turret or some weaponry.
EPISODE 9: PEACE
After the 1st wave, you are instructed to destroy the generators which have blue numbers on them. 2 waves, shot them between waves and only bought turrets. I strongly suggest a flame turret. No need for better weapons because they do as much damage to the gens as your basic rifle.
EPISODE 10: SUNRISE
After 2 waves, you will be overwhelmed. You will know when you can die when you are holding the mini-gun. Last longer if you want but it is not needed.
After the credits you unlock:
NOT OVERYou have unlocked the story 28 days before
Select MODE STORY [28 DAYS BEFORE]:
EPISODE 1: BEGINNING
Nothing unusual about this one. I again suggest fire turrets and sticking close by. Survive 3 waves and you are done.
EPISODE 2: OBEY
Drop an assault turret on the right and disable one of the three computers with . This will start a fairly large wave so retreat to the turret if bogged down. Place a fire turret on the left before you deactivate the 2nd comp and a final fire turret before the 3rd comp (below the screen in pic above).
EPISODE 3: EPILOGUE
Final BOSS aka Subject Zero... Same freaking BOSS as before. It is kinda like both fights put together. I ended up killing him as he hit me. This lead to a trail of blood and spiders North. The second the BOSS health appears again start shooting North and in the center of the screen for an easy finish without a chance for him to shoot back.
Select MODE MISSION [MERCENARIES]:
Pick survival, forest and as your character - Stan (red shirt bottom left)
Buy fire turrets only, use wrenches to repair between waves and med kits for yourself. There is nothing too hard about this as long as you keep your turrets up and stay close to them. After wave 10 is complete, you should unlock:
Make sure you kill 10 spiders to unlock;
Repeat this over and over until you are level 40, which will pop the last achievement:
Congratulations on your latest completion and thank you for using our WT. If you found this WT useful please consider volunteering to write one for trueachievements.com. This is my 20th WT and I wanna thank the community for their support. I hope you enjoyed the game as much as I did.
TITLE UPDATE:
The 5 new achievements should unlock automatically if you've beaten the game prior to release. If you haven't then they should unlock by getting all the achievements above. The achievements are as follows:
ALONEYou've unlocked the mode ALONE [MERCENARIES MODE]
ECONOMICYou've unlocked the mode ECONOMIC [MERCENARIES MODE]
IN THE DARKYou've unlocked the mode IN THE DARK [MERCENARIES MODE]
INFECTIONYou've unlocked the mode INFECTION [MERCENARIES MODE]
PROTECTIONYou've unlocked the mode PROTECTION [MERCENARIES MODE]
If they don't unlock automatically then select SOLO then MODE MISSIONS and play any level. You can play the level or just quit after a few seconds and wait at the title menu for them to pop. If they don't appear to be unlocked for some reason, then you may need to earn more experience to unlock them. I highly doubt this will be the case. Enoy the bonus 1000 GS for doing no more than the base game.
