8. A Plague Tale: Innocence Chapter 6 - Damaged Goods

Chapter 6 - Damaged Goods

Collectables: 1 Gift, 2 Curiosities

You start this level without any of your equipment, but we'll still be collecting crafting resources as we go. If for any reason you get caught/killed/restart from a checkpoint, be sure you're confirming that materials you thought you picked up are still in your inventory.

Follow Melie as she guides you through the area, and when prompted, look at the cart and press cn_up to have Arthur distract the guard. Continue following Melie through the large tent area, grabbing Fabric, 2 Leather, a Cord, Alcohol, Salpeter, and Sulphur before getting another opportunity to call Arthur. This time, call him on the barrel with the spears, then follow Melie into another tent. Heed her warning about the bottles (one is Alcohol, so grab that). When she stops at the end of this tent, there will be another opening to your left. If you're quick enough the guard Arthur distracted will still be occupied, and you can make your way to the picnic table for Knucklebones (Gift 6/11) and Leather, and a Cord from the stump next to the table. If he's started patrolling, just keep an eye on him and move swiftly to collect these items.

Back towards Melie, she will follow the path around the tents and take a right. If you instead take a left near some stairs, there is Sulphur on top of a barrel. Follow the path she took, but go past the red and white tent she is in, and into the white tent for a Fabric. The guard will notice you but you'll be fast enough that it won't cause a problem. Head back and now rejoin Melie - be sure that the guard has fully reset (or started patrolling) otherwise he'll see you walk in. If you're quick enough you can grab Alcohol from the backside of the shelf Melie was hiding behind on your way out and into the tall grass. Once you're into the last section of tall grass in front of a red tent with 3 guards, hang a left (staying in the grass) around the fence for a Cord. Rejoin Melie and call Arthur down on the pot over the fire, then follow Melie into the quarry section.

Immediately to your left is Sulphur and Salpeter on a table, and joining Melie in the red and white tent you'll also find a Cord, Fabric, and Salpeter. Once the guards finish their conversation, follow Melie into the tent the guards were just talking in front of, where you'll get introduced to her ability to pick locks. In the chest she opens is Sulphur and Salpeter. Before heading through the "bar" section, grab Alcohol from the back of the cart, and stick to the right and continue into the open area along the wall. Here is Sulphur, a Cord, and Pound Sterling (Curiosity 11/26).

Now it's back to the cart and we're going to head through the bar. There's a bottle of Alcohol next to the first passed out guard. Take a left then a right between two sleeping guards for Leather on the bench, then back around the sleeping guard for Alcohol on the table, and Fabric on the counter as you come out of the kitchen. As you come down the hill, hang a right to find Salpeter outside the second tent, cut across the path into the lumber section for Salpeter, then join Melie for some dialog from the guards. Once you can, talk to Hugo and have Melie open the chest behind him to get your equipment back. Free Hugo by shooting the chain and having Melie pick the lock. Now that you have Hugo and your sling, you can continue sneaking through the camp, but I much preferred to go on a rampage so that I was free to scavenge without having to be sneaky.

Near the chest where you recovered your sling is an upgrade station, where I upgraded my Attirail. Continue through the red tent for Sulphur sitting on a barrel. In the woodyard to left is Rocks, and working your way down this path of tents, there is a Cord next to a crate of armor. Kill the guard, and go down the stairs to find a chest in the center of all of the smaller tents (Kill the guard here). Once Melie picks the lock you'll get Leather and Alcohol. Up against the fort wall to the right is a table with Salpeter and Rocks. There's an archer on the backside of the final tent, so kill him but be careful not to get too close to the large gates - I recommend not going past the cart. If you get too close the game will immediately checkpoint and start a cutscene progressing the level. You'll have to restart the chapter if you're not done scavenging.

Turn around and head to the 'center' row of beige-colored tents. The first tent only has Rocks, but the second one has Declaration of War (Curiosity 12/26) on a stool.

Continue through this tent and past some horses to find a ledge you can climb up and you'll be back near where you rescued Hugo. Hug right, and you'll eventually come across a tent and lumber yard that yields Salpeter, a Tool, Fabric, and Rocks. Head back down the ledge, through the horses and huge the left side, for a Cord, a Pot, Leather, Sulphur, and Rocks. Once you've passed where the Rocks are DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER. Instead, check what you can afford to upgrade, and then circle back to where you rescued Hugo and upgrade what you can (I was able to upgrade my pouch). Feel free to make one last pass through everything to grab anything you were too full of before your upgrade, and finally, head up to the gate to trigger the cutscene.

Once you have control again, shoot the two guards in front of you, and make your way down to the ladder. Melie will start picking the lock on the door, and once it's open, you'll have two more guards to kill - an Archer across from you, and a guard down on the ground floor. Other than anything the guard on the ground dropped, there's nothing to loot here. Set yourself up in front of Hugo and Melie and kill the approaching guards until the cutscene begins, earning you:
