9. Asdivine Hearts Asdivine story walkthrough (Quests 78 - 93)

Quest Received - Main Quest 78. Hurry to Gutenberg Castle!

We've arrived safely back in Asdivine, but what of the Shadow Deity's plans? There's no doubt in anyone's mind he'll try to use the kingdom's power to accomplish them. Before that happens, we need to get back to Gutenberg Castle!

With control of Zack regained, step onto the newly opened portal, and leave the temple using the north exit, once on the map screen make your way northeast to Gutenberg City. After a short distance, some dialogue will begin - once finished follow the coast north, avoiding the soldiers and then head southwest, then east to Gutenberg City - upon entry some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 79. A Capital Enveloped in Shadow

After reaching the capital, the atmosphere in the city is clearly different than before. We need to get inside the castle and find the source of this shadow magic.

Proceed north and towards the castle, some dialogue will begin as you cross the moat.

Quest Received - Main Quest 80. Back to Kaldia Orphanage

We managed to escape the castle, but what now? The best thing to do is probably have Shannon hide us at the orphanage in order to avoid our pursuers.

Once the conversation is over, make your way east through Laigle Woods and continue east to Kaldia Orphanage - upon arrival some dialogue will begin. After the dialogue has finished free time will begin, use this as an opportunity to speak to your party members.

  • Celine (Right room in the building, sat at a table): I should get her a drink.
  • Stella (Upstairs, right corridor): That's because this is home for us.
  • Felix (Upstairs, southwest room): Possibly.
  • Uriel (Outside, left of the entrance to the Orphanage): Thanks, Felix.

After speaking to all members of the party, go upstairs and enter Zack's room (northeast room), when prompted select "Good idea.".

Quest Received - Main Quest 81. An Entrusted Key

As it turns out, the key Celine received from Olivia is for a door in Seyfert Temple. Let's go there and see what it unlocks.

Leave the Orphanage by heading south, in front of you will be the airship interact with it by pressing cn_A then head north to Seyfort Temple. Enter the temple, head left, and interact with the door.

Quest Received - Main Quest 82. Seyfert Temple's Sanctuary

We found an area of Seyfert Temple we weren't able to get into the last time we were here. Let's check it out and find the Legion here.

Proceed down the stairs and make your way deeper into the temple, eventually, you will come across a Pentacle, use it to heal up and then continue east - when promoted select "Then we clear a way!" and be ready for a fight. After the battle, some dialogue will begin, once finished, continue making your way through the temple - after a short walk some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 83. A Legions Demise

After expending its magic to create a statue, the Legion expired. It's likely the other will do the same, so let's get out of here and find it!

Head south leaving the room and make your way back to the exit for Seyfort Temple, once outside some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 84. Oliver

Oliver showed up and saved us from a dangerous situation. Let's follow him back to Alvin City and talk with him over at the governor's manor.

Walk north and enter Alvin City. From here head south into the middle southern building - upon entry some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 85. Oliver's Information

According to Oliver, there's been a recent influx of soldiers at Katarina Temple. We should go check it out.

Walk south to leave the building then head north to the exit for Alvin City, interact with the airship by pressing cn_A on it then make your way southwest to Katarina Temple. Enter the temple and interact with the door on the right.

Quest Received - Main Quest 86. Katarina Temple's Sanctuary

It appears a Legion is already here in Katarina Temple. Let's hurry and find it!

Walk through the newly opened corridor and proceed down the stairs, make your way deeper into the temple, eventually you will come across a Pentacle, use it to heal up and then continue north - when promoted select "Then we clear a way!" and be ready for a fight. After the battle, some dialogue will begin. Once finished, continue making your way through the temple - after a short walk, some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 87. Back to Alvin City

Like the other Legion before it, this one also created a statue before expiring. We need to get back to Alvin City before the Shadow Deity does anything else!

Head south and make your way back to the exit for Katarina Temple, after exiting Katarina Temple walk back to the airship and interact with it by pressing cn_A, make your way northeast back to Alvin City, and then enter the southern middle building - upon entry when prompted select "Let's find out what's happening!" and be ready for a fight. Once the battle is over some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 88. Undercover

Oliver made us some disguises in order to sneak into Gutenberg Castle. Let's hurry and make for the capital!

Note from the Walkthrough Thread (Credit: Erutaerc): Make a note around Quest 88 about being able to level grind in the library area in the castle behind the stairs after you enter with a disguise. Even on Easy I struggled against the penultimate true boss, and I was level 106.

Leave the building by heading south and then make your way north to the exit for Alvin City, interact with the airship by pressing cn_A on it then make your way southeast to Gutenberg City - upon entry when prompted select "It's Halloween, baby!", then when prompted again select "...look nice".

Quest Received - Main Quest 89. Plan in Action

We've changed into our disguises, but let's hope the guards won't be suspicious. Now it's time to head to the castle!

Head north towards the castle, as you cross the moat some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 90. Finding Olivia

Though we were able to get into the castle, our disguises failed the guards' scrutiny inside the front gate... But enough about that, let's hurry and find Olivia!

Head east into the next room then north up the stairs, follow the path east and proceed into the next area, continue making your way through the castle, after finding both Extravagant Key's open the door and proceed upstairs to the Pentacle, use it to heal up and then open the next door. Go through into the next area and when prompted select "Let's find out what's going on here!" and be ready for a fight, after the battle some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 91. To the Throne Room

According to Olivia, Queen Gloria has been possessed by the Shadow Deity. Let's hurry with her to the throne room!

Leave the room by heading south and proceeding down the stairs, follow the path south to the previous area, from here follow the path west to the centre, then south down the stairs. Walk west into the next area then proceed up the stairs to the Throne Room, interact with the door and some dialogue will begin, once finished proceed north and when prompted select "Then let's get in there!" and be ready for a fight. After the battle, some dialogue will begin.

Quest Received - Main Quest 92. Where the Shadow Deity Is

Though we were able to liberate both Queen Gloria and the castle, the Shadow Deity has sworn in his wrath to destroy everything! Let's head back to the city and see if we can find out where he went.

Leave the castle by heading south down the stairs and then south through the exit, continue going south and leave Gutenberg City - some dialogue will begin after exiting the city.

Quest Received - Main Quest 93. The World of the Deities

A portal to Eternia, the world of the deities, has been opened. Let's make our way west of the capital using the airship to reach it.

Note: From this point on you will be required to reload saves, to unlock all achievements.

Reenter Gutenberg City and enter the building to the east of the moat, we need to do some grinding in the arena to get some items to increase and decrease our companions' trust, these items are as followed:

  • Ancient Book: +5 to Celine or -5 to Uriel - costs 80 Guild Coins
  • Fabled Spice: +5 to Stella or -5 to Celine - costs 80 Guild Coins
  • Secret Bromide: +5 to Uriel or -5 to Felix - costs 80 Guild Coins
  • Sardines: +5 to Felix or -5 to Stella - costs 80 Guild Coins

To see how much trust each companion has, open the start menu, select "Status" and you will see a bar with two faces, one disappointed yellow and one disappointed red - the first set of achievements we will be earning for the endgame require our companions to be below a trust level of 85, follow the next set of steps after grinding the arena closely.

Speak to the woman on the east counter on the west side, when prompted select "No need to ask. We're game!" and then select "Bronze Cup" we want to grind the "Hard" difficulty as this gives us 100 Guild Coins per completion, but this requires us to complete the "Easy" and "Normal" difficulties, complete these and rinse and repeat the "Hard" difficulty until you have enough Guild Coins to buy 4 of each item (3 would be fine, but 4 is safe) - this requires a total of 1280 Guild Coins, equivalent to 13 Hard Bronze Cup battles. Alternatively, if you have AHP you can buy "Homemade Cookies" from the Shop in the start menu, these cookies give you +20 to whichever character you give it to. Once all items have been acquired save the game in a spare slot (Note: This is a safety save in case anything goes wrong.)

With the grind now complete and all items purchased, leave the guild and head south to leave Gutenberg City, interact with the airship using cn_A and make your way east to Eternia - upon entry some dialogue will begin.
