3. Asemblance: Oversight Story Walkthrough

First Ending

The game starts by dropping you into a white room with a door. You go through the door and will have a terminal to interact with. You'll hear some dialogue from somebody helping you (Portal style). He can help with hints along the way and provide some abstract narrative.

This will be the first ending you receive. In order to get it, you need to find the two walkie-talkies (both are in Installation 3F06) as well as the access code for Installation 3FO6 (located in Asemblance Office B).

Once you get to the office you can now pick up these clear steps on how to get to the first ending (4 achievements).

Steps

  • Zoom in on the cube when you're in the office (scene change).
  • When the scene changes again (we'll call this new area the main hub), walk forward and there will be a Terminal up the small stairs and just to the right.
  • Reboot the system. Once it's up, load the Tessera Valley memory.
  • Walk forward until you are queued to use cn_RT. Do so, then walk forward a little more until you are queued with [cn_Y] again then press it.
  • Use the Terminal again and load the Asemblance Office B memory.
  • Inside the office is a small room with glass doors. You can't enter it yet, but zoom in on the anomaly inside.
  • When you see the pixelated bird, move forward and the picture will start to become more clear before a cutscene starts.
  • When you're back in the office, hit cn_Y to end the memory.

The Anomaly

  • Interact with the Terminal and select Terrera Valley.
  • Walk forward and you will see a dead bird on the rocks on the right.
  • Zoom in on the bird and everything will go yellow tinted. Walk around until the memory turns into a dark forest with a small building.
  • Walk towards this building and a man will come outside and end the memory.
  • Interact with the Terminal and choose Installation 3F06
  • Follow the path towards the small building and just before it in the bushes to the left is a scientist. On the ground next to him is a walkie-talkie. Pick this up.
  • Listen to what it says and when you can, hit cn_Y to end the memory
  • Interact with the Terminal and choose Asemblance Office B.
  • Go past the table with the laptop and down the small hallway. Before it turns right, you will see a locked door on the left side. Walk up to this and you will automatically take out the walkie-talkie (it will still be playing the same message).
  • You need to time it up so when you interact with the door, the sequence says "This is Captain Jerome Hollis. Employee 1185." If you interact with the door right after it says "Bester, are you there?", it should line up close to enough to unlock the door.

  • Once inside, pick up the flashlight on the desk.
  • Hit cn_Y to end the memory.
  • Interact with the Terminal and choose Installation 3F06
  • Go inside the small building (your flashlight will automatically turn on) and interact with the terminal at the end of the corridor.
  • When the system is rebooted, turn around go down the corridor to the left (if you're now facing the exit). You will see a red laser in the next room. On the ground is another scientist with another walkie-talkie.
  • Pick up the walkie-talkie and listen to the message. Hit cn_Y to exit the memory when you can.
  • Interact with the Terminal and choose Asemblance Office B.
  • Go past the door you previously opened and onto the far side of the glass office. There will be another door you need to open using voice activation.
  • Walk up to the door and your new walkie-talkie will automatically start to play. You need to time it up so when you interact with the door, it says "This is Chief Engineer Carter Bester Employee 0016". Interact with the door about halfway through "I am finding no apparent evidence outside the chamber" and it should match up close enough.
  • Go inside and zoom in on the anomaly.
  • When the three heads are shown, walk into the middle head.

The Superior

  • The scene will change back to the office. Interact with the laptop on the table in front of you.
  • A sequence of slides will show up on the wall. Look for the code that corresponds with 3F06 (2341).
  • When you have it, hit cn_Y when the queue appears.
  • Interact with the Terminal and choose Installation 3F06
  • Go inside the small building and input the code in the first door (2341).
  • Keep going down the corridor and interact with the terminal at the end (activate emergency security system).
  • When you regain control, turn around and go down the corridor on the left (past the lasers, they won't damage you), and through the door (it will open once you're near it), into the very bright light.
  • Go through the door and all the way to the kitchen table until the helmet and gloves disappear.
  • Turn around and zoom in on the anomaly the scientist behind you is holding.
  • Choose Venera 17 on the terminal.
  • Enter the memory for the ending.

Other Endings

Always make sure to press "continue" at the Main Menu. All of these ending are done after the first ending, so NEVER press new game

Coherence Ending

  • Interact with the terminal and select Asemblance Office B.
  • Zoom in on the new anomaly until your screen turns red.
  • Exit the memory.
  • Interact with the terminal and select Venera 17.
  • Enter the memory for the ending.

Oversight

  • Press continue on the Main Menu.
  • Select Asemblance Office B.
  • Zoom in on the anomaly to make your screen red again.
  • cn_Y to end memory.
  • Select Installation 3F06.
  • Follow the path all the way down through the laser door but stop before the white light.
  • You must wait for an image to appear in the light before you go through.
  • As the image appears, sprint through it holding forward all the way until you are returned to the terminal with your screen gamma colored.
  • Go back to Installation 3F06.
  • Go all the way down to the terminal at the end of the hallway (in the bunker).
  • Reboot the system on the terminal using the code "325-334".
  • Go through the light at the end of the laser hallway.
  • cn_Y to end memory.
  • Go back to Installation 3F06 again.
  • Walk to the dead body to the left of the bunker's entrance.
  • Look for the butterfly that is flying near the dead body.
  • Zoom in on it.
  • Walk through the light door that is in front of you.
  • Go back to Installation 3F06 yet again.
  • Walk all the way down into the bunker and reboot the system using "325-334" again.
  • Walk through the light door at the end of the laser hallway.
  • There should now be an anomaly in front of you. Zoom in on it.
  • It should make your screen green.
  • Un-zoom and the 3 heads should appear before you.
  • Zoom in on the middle head and walk towards it again.
  • Walk through the light door.
  • Go back to Installation 3F06 again, yet again.
  • Walk down to the keypad and enter the code "015-292".
  • Walk back through the light door again.
  • Keep pressing cn_X until the memory ends.

Oversight

You now have the ability to switch the color of your screen which is necessary for every other achievement.

Blue Ending

  • Keep hitting cn_X until your screen is tinted blue.
  • Interact with the main terminal and select Venera 17.
  • Go inside the memory and walk through the door to get this ending and earn the achievement.

  • Press cn_X until your screen is tinted green. (Make sure it is the dark green color)
  • Interact with the main terminal and select Venera 17.

  • Press cn_X until you are in the Gamma shift.
  • Interact with the main terminal and select Venera 17.

White Ending

Unlike the other shifts, the White shift requires a few extra steps to unlock.

  • Select Asemblance Office B.
  • Walk into the room that you unlocked with a walkie-talkie earlier (in the back corner).
  • Look at the map on the wall.
  • First, find the post-it note with "???" written on it at the top left. Remember exactly where it is pointing (the small island).
  • Find the picture in the middle of the very bottom (and take note of the letter at the top-right of it).
  • Keep shifting until it is the A picture. Do not change your shift from now on, until I say so.
  • Look to your left to see a computer that is on and walk over to it.
  • Zoom in on the screen and find the number "251075" on the left.
  • Write down the number that is to the right of it (it's randomized).
  • cn_Y to end memory.
  • Select Installation 3F06.
  • Proceed all the way down to the console and interact with it until the numpad is made available.
  • Use the keypad to enter your code.
  • Walk to the light door. DO NOT ENTER YET, THE NEXT PART IS TIMED.
  • Walk through the light door and immediately begin shifting until you reach the dark green shift.
  • Zoom in on the spot that I told you to remember (top-left corner where the post-it note is pointing) and walk towards it.
  • Your screen will flash and a photo will appear in front of you.
  • cn_Y to end memory.
  • Select Venera 17.
  • Go inside the memory and walk through the door to get this ending and earn the achievement.

White
