1. Assetto Corsa Walkthrough overviewUpdate notes

Hi guys! My name’s Seiyariu and I’ll be taking you through Assetto Corsa. This is my very first and likely very last walkthrough, so I’ll do my best to take you through what I consider to be the best racing game on the platform (from a simulation perspective).

Assetto Corsa is a simulation racing game. It is quite unlike other racing games on the Xbox One in this regard. Other racing titles such as Forza and Formula One, attempt to replicate the realities of driving cars in real life, but maintain somewhat of an arcade feel. The popularity of those games necessitates an arcade style to capture a ‘pick up and play’ type of feel - attractive to a more casual player. This is due to these games often being very popular and many people will play these with a normal game controller, something the developers I’m sure cater to.

Assetto Corsa is not like this. I’m sure this game is possible to complete with a controller, but it’s going to be a lot harder if you do not have a steering wheel and pedals. I personally use a Logitech G920 wheel, but there are other fantastic options available on the market, including Thrustmaster and Fanatec. All I would advise is you get a wheel with some good force feedback if you really want to enjoy what Assetto Corsa has to offer.

Assetto Corsa is also regularly on sale on the Xbox Marketplace, and can be found at very cheap prices depending on when you purchase. Just know, you will certainly get value for money, as there is plenty of content in this game, even more if you purchase the DLC packs (although these are not required to 100% the game).

This game is not going to be easy. I must say that it is probably the hardest game I have ever completed in terms of difficulty, and I am proud of completing it, which is what has spurred my making this guide. I will do my best to give tips where necessary, although for a good portion of this game, there are no difficulty requirements. However, due to the difficulty of the game, it can vary drastically on the number of hours required to complete depending on your level of skill.

I will split this guide into 3 main parts. You do by no means have to follow the structure of my guide in completing your achievements, however I have split it as such as many people new to this game struggle with its difficulty when they first pick it up. Therefore, I suggest completing the difficulty based achievements last. Completing the parts of the game that have no difficulty requirements first should enable players who are new to sim games to get plenty of time to acclimatise to it.

The first part of this guide I will dedicate to the (mostly) quick and easy achievements. The second part will be focused on the career mode. This part of the game can be completed on the easiest difficulty setting, but is unfortunately very grindy. The third and final part of the guide will be dedicated to the Special Events. This is the most challenging part of the game as many of the events require you to race on the game’s hardest difficulty setting - Alien. Some of these events will seem completely impossible to complete, but let me tell you - they ARE possible.

I will focus only on the base game and NONE of the DLC as none of it is required for any achievements on this game. The DLC just adds more cars and more special events and completing these DLC events does not give any progression towards any achievements.

Anyway, let’s get on with the game and I hope you enjoy your time on Assetto Corsa!
