2. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons General hints and tipsUpdate notes

It's not possible to turn on subtitles in this game. The characters will speak a weird fictional language during the story; you may be able to catch a few words here and there (including the names of the two brothers; "Naï" and "Naya", or something like that :p), but you'll have to understand what's going on primarily from visual clues.

In the game, especially in the first Chapters, there are several optional interaction points (such as people you can talk to, or simply objects you can interact with); most of the time, the interaction will be different depending on which Brother you use to interact with it. Normally, the optional interactions are just some little extras that don't affect your progression (some of them are related to achievements though, as explained in the previous/following pages).

Among the other interaction points, you will often find benches that you can sit on. The purpose of most of them is simply to enjoy the view (one in Chapter 6 is related to an achievement though).

It's possible to pan the camera left/right with cn_LB/cn_RB, but you can pretty much ignore these buttons entirely since the view will [almost] always be clear with the default camera point of view.

The only achievement that requires more than a single action (Love Birds) can be unlocked quicker via Chapter Selection in case you miss it on your first playthrough. The achievement requires an action in Chapter 1 and then another action in Chapter 4. If you skip the action in Chapter 1 (open a bird cage) on your first run, you can select Chapter 1 from the Chapter Select screen to replay this Chapter, open the cage when you replay this Chapter, then quit back to the title screen menu (the game will instantly save your progress as soon as you open the cage), select Chapter 4 and then finally replay and continue with Chapter 4 until you reach the spot where you have to perform the second action for this achievement (look through a telescope) -- this will let you unlock the achievement. In other words, you can skip everything after you open the cage in Chapter 1 (i.e. the rest of Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3): the action of opening the cage in Chapter 1 will be saved and "conserved as a memo" for Chapter 4, even if you use Chapter selection to access Chapter 4 instead of continuing regularly from Chapter 1.

Other than this there is really nothing else to say: the game is not only easy, but also very simple in its mechanics. It may be a bit hard to coordinate movements with the two sticks of the controller, but on the other hand there aren't really situations where you need to execute precise movements in a short amount of time. The only thing that you can do to help your brain a little is keeping the two characters close to each other and as much as possible on the same reciprocal positions: Big Brother (cn_LS/cn_LT) on the left and ahead, and Little Brother (cn_RS/cn_RT) on the right and behind.
