First, we will start our playthrough on Normal. Please note that once you complete a mission you cannot replay it. Thus making the achievements for doing all of the missions in a level missable.
Russia
Nothing notable here. It is a very quick tutorial kind of mission.
Tanzania
When the mission starts, follow the road to the left. You will encounter two lions that you can take out fairly easily. Follow the road until you get to the bridge that is not fully constructed yet. Now go down into the ravine on the left side of the bridge, and go into the water. Head right down the river and keep a close eye on the trees on the left side of the river. We are looking for big white beehives to shoot. You should continue following the river, and you should have destroyed two beehives by the time you reach the short cutscene where the lion catches the deer. Keep going down the river and go around the bend to the right and there will be a third beehive in a tree on the left. After you have destroyed it, restart the mission and do it all again. On the fourth repeat (the repeat where you reach a total of ten destroyed beehives) pick up the bait that is near the lions at the beginning. Now continue into the ravine and destroy your tenth beehive. Now, we will continue where the lion cutscene was and kill that lion as well, putting you up to a total of 3 lions. You need to hunt two more to finish the level. I know there is a pack of two on the other side of the river from, which will spawn close to the edge of the map. This spot is also a good spot for using you bait or use the lion call to draw in the last lion.
Apiphobia10 Bee Hives have been destroyed playing Career.
Afterwards, you will be in your camp being attacked by a bunch of lions. Not much you can do except running around shooting lions. After you kill the lion with your pistol, you are done the mission.
Mane EventCompleted all objectives in Tanzania while playing Career Mode.
Alaska
Alaska is a very easy mission. At the beginning, start walking up the path and you will see a wolf troop passing through the path. Your character will notice it as well. Follow the direction it went until you find the pack of wolves. Kill them all to complete the optional mission in this level. Now the rest of the level cannot be missed, so continue and once you kill the bear; the level is completed.
Equador
At the beginning of the level you will notice, that the yellow marker in the top right of the screen gets darker if you are walking around. This means there is an animal near. If you use your hunter sense by pressing LS you can see that there is a python on the tree in front of you from the starting point. You must kill four of these pythons. Your character will also say something like "Don't get to close to these" when he sees one so you will know if one is nearby. Otherwise the objectives are all main. The only tricky part is getting passed the pond of piranhas. What you have to do is go back and use your yellow animal indicator to find a capybara and hunt it. Then go to the carcass and pick it up. Bring it back to the pond then equip the bait. Go in the pond and to the left side of it and drop the bait then get out of it again. At this point you will see the piranhas go and start eating the bait. Now is your chance to simply walk through the pond while they are distracted. Not too far ahead of this part is the part where you have to save a man from a jaguar. That is the last part in the level, so if you have not killed the four pythons restart the mission and try again.
The locations of the pythons are:
1. Directly in front of the beginning of the level.
2. After the plane crashes, before you cross the river with the alligators.
3. Directly before the pond with the pirahnas.
4. After the jaguar attack, which is right after the crossing the pond with the pirahnas.
India
When the level begins, you are tasked to hunt 3 hyenas. If you aim down scope right at the beginning they are straight ahead of you. After you take them out you will say something about tire tracks, and shown the map where you can see a car on it. Go to that spot (directly backwards from the place you started the mission). You will have a cutscene and afterwards you will be driving in the car for a little bit until a boulder knocks over a truck and the tigers escape. Afterwards, you are given a tranquilizer gun and it is your job to tranquilize each tiger. Before we do the regular mission we are going to do another achievement like the bee hive achievement. Once you are free to roam around, go to your compass. You will see in the bottom left is a marking on the map. Go to that spot on the map, and tranquilize the tiger. Once he is tranquilized pull out your bolt action rifle. If you haven't already noticed there are 5 snakes chilling inside the temple. Kill them all. Now restart the level and do it all again, and again. On the third play through of this part you should be at a total of 15 killed snakes, which will net you an achievement at the end of the level. Now finish the level. The tigers are located in all four corners of the map. You MUST complete this level in under 20 minutes to complete the optional objective.
British Columbia
Start the mission by walking up the path to be attacked by a mountain lion. Shoot it once and it will run away like a little scared cat. HAHA Get it? It is a cat...so....*sigh*. After it ran away, go to your compass and you will see two markings. Go to the X. Once there, kill the elk and pick one up for baiting purposes. Now go up the hill and loop around towards the river stream again. There will be 4 bears at this area which you need to kill for the optional objective. Now go to the other marking on the compass to bait the cougar. After he comes out of his den, shoot him and then follow him back to his den. Once you get there, shoot him again and kill him, thus finishing the level.
Congo
For the first part of the mission, you are in a boat. Keep your eyes focussed on the water as there will be alligators and hippos trying to kill you. After that part ends, you will be on foot. Follow the path forward and you will come to a crossroad. It will seem as if there are two paths: one to the right and one that goes straight. Don't take either. Look to the left and you will see a bit of an area you can walk over. Go in that direction and you will see the water where you were boating around in, don't go to it. Take the path to the right from here and you will be attacked by a giant forest hog. Now go back to the regular trail and take either of them. Follow it up to the buffalo, and kill it. Then return to your boat. You will then be sent to help out your hunting friends who are in trouble. After you kill all the surrounding buffalos, you finished the level.
BuffalownedCompleted all objectives in Congo while playing Career Mode.
Thailand
All you have to worry about in Thailand is completing the level in under 20 minutes. When you start, go straight and to the right. A bear will attack you. You need to tranquilize him and when he is down, you need to put a bear collar on him. Now turn around and go to the point from which you started. Follow the path down the hill which was behind you at the beginning. Once you are at the bottom, head to the right. This should put you in the bottom left corner of the map. There should be a path over here that leads to another bear. Careful though: there are a lot of poisonous snakes in the area. After you took care of the bear, head back down the path from which you came from. Once you are near the entrance, you will be heading to the right. Essentially, you are making a mad dash to the river. Once you get there, get in it because the elephants will not go into the water. Follow the river north until you see an archway under a bit of rock. Go under the archway and you will see the final bear on the plain. Tranquilize him and get the collar on him to finish the level.
Namibia
Keep in mind that the optional objective is completing the level in under 30 minutes. Right at the beginning, your friend is being attacked. Shoot the leopard that is on top of him and it will run away. Pick your friend up and start walking towards the car. The leopard will attack again, so put your friend on the ground then shoot the leopard again, and again it will run away. Pick your friend up again and continue moving towards the jeep. Once more the leopard attacks, this time it dies when you shoot it. Afterwards, pick your injured friend up and finish the trek to the car. Once you are at the car, a rhino will start attacking you from the right. Shoot it a few times before it flips you and after he flips you, it will take a couple more shots to finish him off. Afterwards, you will be tasked to get for your friend. Now go towards the point on the map. At the bottom of the hill you will have to kill a mad elephant, which is not that hard. Later, you will have to kill a leopard that was attacking a monkey. You cannot leave the area with the monkey until the leopard is dead. After the leopard is dead, get to the point on the map to complete the mission.
A Spot of LuckCompleted all objectives in Namibia while playing Career Mode.
Russia Part 2
Last level of the game. At the beginning, you will be in a jeep. While in the jeep, shoot some of the wolves (at least a couple). After that, you will be free to walk around. Go north until you find the boars, kill one and pick it up to use it as bait. You can kill all of the boars if you wish. Now, go to the baiting area and put the bait down. A bunch of wolves will come before a bear does. Kill the wolves and use the hunter sense to help you see them. Afterwards, kill the bear when he comes to complete the level.
Now it is time to move on to the bonus missions.
Tanzania: For Tanzania you are required to use your hunter vision and locate the elephant tracks near the beginning. They will look like big glowing blobs on the ground. You must follow them all the way until you are at the pond. Once there, you will be instructed to set up a blind. After you do this, the mad elephant will walk over the hill towards the lake. When you shoot him the first time he will run away. At that point get out of the blind, chase him and kill him.
Alaska: In Alaska you are tasked with hunting a pair of bears. They are marked on your map with X's. You will have to take out some wolves along the way, but in general this is a fairly easy mission.
India: Do you remember the temple where you killed those 5 snakes and tranquilized the tiger (bottom left corner of map)? Well, at the beginning of this mission go straight to that point and you will be attacked by a pack of striped hyenas. Once you kill all 8 the mission will be completed.
Congo: In Congo, you are forced to remain in a blind for the entire mission. You have to wait for a giant forest hog to come and kill it. You can use your hunter sense to see him better. It takes a lot of patience to finish this level.
Namibia: In this mission, you will have to kill a bunch of animals on your way before you kill the trophy lion. Once the trophy lion is dead, you will finish the level.
Time for the most frustrating part of the game, the Action Zones!
Because I think the bronze action zones are the most difficult ones, I would recommend to save them until last. The reason why they were the hardest is because you have a very short amount of time to do them. You will have to do each of the bronze, silver, gold, and platinum zones for all of the achievements. It helps a lot to upgrade your gun. I used the high calibur rifle throughout all of the zones. Also, there are 6 different power-ups you need to get while doing these. The power-ups will appear on the left side of the screen and you will need to press RS to activate it. Note that a "clean shot" is for taking an animal down in one shot. The powerups are as following:
x4 Multiplier: You will get this by regular gameplay. It is awarded for taking down 5 trophies in under a minute.
Quickdraw: You will get this by regular gameplay. Awarded for getting a "clean shot" while being less than 5 meters away from the animal.
Laserbullet: You will get this by regular gameplay. It is awarded for taking two animals down with "clean shots" in under 20 seconds.
Instant Kill: You will get this by regular gameplay. It is awarded for taking down three animals in under 20 seconds.
Animal Freeze: This one may take a few tries. Take down three animals with "clean shots" in under 40 seconds from a distance below 20 meters. I easily got this on Thailand Gold, at the very beginning with the three bears.
Thermal Vision: This one may take a few tries. Take down three animals in 20 seconds from over 7 meters away. This one is known to be buggy! I easily got this on Namibia Platinum. I shot each of the three elephants once (they take two shots to die). Then I restarted shooting and killed all three of them in row.
The achievement will unlock at the end of the action zone.
You should have unlocked the Completionist-achievement at this time. If you haven't, you can check your statistics at the main menu. If you are missing a secondary objective, you will have to start a new file, but don't fret because all of the achievement counts across all save slots in the game. This happened to me, but after I completed Tanzania I got my achievement.
Now it's time to start the game all over again on Difficult-difficulty.
The "Rabid Completionist" achievement is known to be glitchy. From my understanding, this achievement will unlock after completing the first level in the campaign in the NTSC version of the game. Congratulations; you guys should be done now. For the PAL version of the game, the achievement should unlock after completing the campaign and the 5 bonus missions. After finishing those, you will have another completed game on your gamercard.
