An amazing surprise ! This game is insanely good both in terms of storytelling, gameplay and graphics/animations. Like many other indie titles this generation, Children of Morta is an unexpected gem, and I'm very happy it came to Game Pass. It's long and challenging, the rogue mechanics can be scary at first but you'll get used to the different types of "rooms" pretty quickly, there's not a lot of them but they change with each level. The characters are basically your family members, some of them are in the same class but their abilities and unique buffs make them very different from eachother. There's a "Corruption" debuff that reduces the health of characters, it forces you not to always play with the same character. I played for about 30h and I still have a few Achievements to unlock so even if you don't have a Game Pass subscription, the price is really good for such a long and well made game. Oh and it has a lot of grinding but it's not the impossible kind of grinding. It's a 5/5 for me.
