Let's start this by saying I am a major fan of the C & C genre. I have played or owned every C & C game made. My favorite series within the genre is the Tiberian Sun genre. I was a Tiberian Sun Firestorm addict when the game came out, and C & C 3 Tiberium Wars was the best RTS for the console (my opinion).

Let's get to Kane's Wrath. All I can say is wow, unexpected. I truthfully thought this game would be garbage; so I never bought it. I got the game on clearance new for 12.99 from Gamestop 3 days ago. I am actually very impressed. Of course like all C & C games, you can't expect an Academy Award for acting, but the fact that they have acting cut scenes is what sets them apart, so I applaud them for the extra yard Electronics Arts goes for.

The graphics are a step up from C & C 3 Tiberium Wars. There is more detail and more types of objects you can garrison into. There are different factions with different strengths, or you can just play as strait GDI or NOD (and Scrin). Many maps have been added to the skirmish mode, and more gameplay variety, such as scenarios. But like I said before, I am really impressed with the graphics. C & C games by far have the most in depth detail in their RTS games. Anyways onto the good stuff:

Graphics: 10 out of 10
Campaign: 8 out of 10 ( you can only play as NOD)
Sound: 10 out of 10
Gameplay/User Interface: 10 out of 10 (major improv. in the controls. Unit
selection ability has been much
Replay Ability: 10 out of 10

The fact that the story is not as good as the original Tiberian Sun, I give this game 4 stars.

5-14-09: I just got a little further in the game, and I retract my first statement and am giving this game 5 stars. I like the fact that there are over 50 maps to skirmish on now, and they kept all the same units as C&C3, and added a bunch more: (Thanks C&C for bringing the Mech's back!)

Suggested Retail Value: $39.99
Actual Current Retail Value: $24.99 (Amazon)

P.S. I would recommend this game to anyone who has played or purchased C&C 3 Tiberium Wars, Great addition.
