3. Crash Time 2: Autobahn Polizei Story walkthrough

We'll start with the career, where the majority of the time will be needed to complete game.

Before going into details about the career mode, you should know that there is achievement for smashing 1000 objects in the game, so whenever you aren't pressured for time and see light posts and other smashable objects whilst driving around make sure you hit them to get:

• The Bomb

  You have destroyed 1,000 objects.

  
  

Select New Game => Career. Make sure you play through the tutorial as it's required to unlock all of the cars. After the tutorial you should find the Cases option in the menu, this can only be used to start already finished cases again, to get new cases and advance through career you need to select Patrol in the main menu. When selecting a vehicle, if there is a red flag next to its name this means there is a Case available for it. After you select Patrol, there are two ways of starting new cases. Some cases you can get by stopping on red circles that are spread all around the map, whilst other cases you can get from a call from dispatch after you drive around for a few minutes. Once you get a call from dispatch you'll need to travel to the pre-defined spot and you start the travel from position where you got the call. As you have an option to choose a spawn point each time you go on Patrol, and all cases follow pre-determined order you can spawn at closest point to where case is located. I've wrote down best locations from where to start and mission you'll be getting. If you use it, you'll save up about hour of driving. Here is the list:

Now let's go to the races. Go to Duty roster => Single Race
- Vehicle Damage: Off
- Number of Laps: 1
- Track Type: Circuits
- For circuit pick Autobahn -> Stadium - center (this track is one of the shortest, but the bonus is that includes one jump so after you are done with races you'll have 50 less jumps to grind out latter)

On your first race you'll get:

• Driving on Eggshells

  You have won a race without causing damage.

And finally after 50 races you'll get:

Now let's do some driving and crashing with Tribun (the fastest car in the game) on Endless autobahn:

For first race select:
- Nitro booster: On
- Vehicle Damage: Off
- Traffic: Off
- Track Type: Circuits
- Number of Laps: 1
- Number of Opponents: 1
- Opponents' Vehicles: Same
- Opponents' Strength: Easy
- For circuit pick Autobahn -> Endless Autobahn
- Car: Race Car -> Tribun

The object here is not to win a race so don't worry about your opponent. As soon as the race starts change transmission to manual in Options. While stationary, put it into 6th gear using RB and go full throttle and boost. Soon you should reach 450km/h and get

• Records

  Reach a speed of 450 kph.

Once you get this, restart race, put car into 4th gear while stationary, don't touch boost, just accelerate and soon you should reach max revs and car should stay at 285km/h. Hold it there for 15 seconds to get

• A Matter of Speed

  Drive at 280 kph for 15 seconds.

Restart the race again, but this time select Traffic: Normal and Number of Laps: 30. Keep it in manual transmission. This time we'll focus on crashing into other cars and achievements for causing a certain amount of damage, how you should focus on getting enough speed (160+ km/h) and hitting a car so it explodes. Best way to accelerate is to go immediately into 3rd gear get some speed and then into 6th gear and give it little bit of boost. Best targets are big trucks (60.000 damage) and ambulance vans (90.000).

Keep it in manual transmission until you get:

• Manual Labor

  You drove 50 km using a stick shift.

Once you get achievements above, quit out the race.

How let's get remaining jumps for 200 jumps count. Find a big jump ramp (I suggest 14 seconds into the MadCop part 12 video). Just accelerate enough to go over the ramp, but not so much to actually jump whole distance of intended jump. You should land just behind the ramp. Once the car settles just press back button to reset your car and repat the jump. Soon you should get:

• Soar Like an Eagle

  Get airborne 200 times.

Next we have a bit of a grind. Luckily, you are playing the NTSC version, meaning this will take about an hour. From Patrol menu chose Harbor Quay (City) spawn and for car pick Race Car -> Tribun as it's most expensive. Now just go few meters and stop on rail tracks. Train should come soon destroying your car. Repeat this until you get:

• State of Emergency

  Cause damage amounting to 100,000,000.

During this grind you should try to position car in such way that trains causes maximum damage to the car. First time you destroy it totally you will get

• Running Amok

  Cause damage amounting to 1,000,000 in a row.

Now let's clear few easy achievements for the end:

Drive through supermarket located top right on highway map. You should find it easy as it has orange roof.

• Shopping Spree

  You drove straight through a supermarket.

Go into one of spawn points that connects City and Highway and just switch between City and Highway untill you get:

• Change of Scene

  You changed the scenario 10 times.

Keep pressing reset button () until you get:

• Cheater

  Be reset 100 times.

Start patrol and leave controller for about 30 minutes if you don't already have this one (don't forget that wireless controller turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity and you might need to give it some input from time to time):

• A Long Way

  You drove uninterrupted on patrol for 30 minutes.

Go to some straight and drive into reverse until you get:

• Into the Past

  You drove backwards for 200 m.
