Before doing anything, you’ll want to change some settings to unlock an achievement after the first race. From the main menu, select Options, then HUD. Set Entire HUD to Off. Now select DiRT Tour from the main menu.
Start the first event. Before the race starts, press to switch to cockpit view (if you’re not in cockpit view when the race starts, make sure to restart the race). After winning the race, you’ll unlock:
You can now turn the HUD back on and no longer need to use cockpit view. Finish up the second race of the first event.
Before the next race, select Difficulty and Assists. Select Advanced Settings and turn all the assists off. After winning the race, you’ll unlock:
Now turn the assists back on if you’d like. Before the next race, go back to the Difficulty and Assists Advanced Settings and set Damage to Full. Drive off the cliff before the first turn of the race. After the cutscene, select Flashback, rewind with to before driving off and press . Now go on to win the race and at the end, you’ll unlock:
After winning the event, if you’ve completed five bonus objectives (which you should have without even trying), you’ll unlock:
Once you earn enough points to unlock the top triangle, Rockstar Transworld Clash, select the second event. Choose the 60’s class, then the Mini Cooper S. Win the race without taking damage (easily done by playing on casual) and you’ll unlock:
For the third event in the Brembo Blast triangle, choose the 90’s class to work towards another achievement. The event after this will be your first DC Challenge. You’ll need to platinum all of these for an achievement. This requires a bit of skill and may take a couple of attempts to earn platinum.
This one is the first Drift Showcase. You’ll need to score 15,000 drift points for the platinum. Use the handbrake to drift around turns, trying to maintain a drift throughout each one. Best way to do this is when you’re beginning a turn, let up off the gas and press into the turn (the longer you hold it, the harder the drift). Then hold down the gas and use the to maintain the drift.
Do this for each turn and at the end, circle around the pillar and come back, drifting again around each turn. With a little bit of persistence, you’ll eventually reach enough points to earn the platinum.
The next DC Challenge will be the second Drift Showcase. You’ll need 26,000 points for the platinum and this one is more difficult than the first. Before you start, go into Vehicle Setup and change Downforce to High and Ride Height to Low. After quite a few attempts, I made those two adjustments and was able to get it within a couple of tries.
Don’t worry about driving off the cliff or the road, as you’ll still get your points and you’ll respawn back on the track. Just try to keep drifts going and drift as much as possible and you’ll eventually get the platinum and unlock:
After winning the next event, you’ll unlock:
Onto the Gymkhana Academy. There are five tutorials and you need to earn platinum on all of them for an achievement. First is the Smash Tutorial, which you’ll need to score 200,000 points for platinum. This one is pretty difficult and will definitely take you multiple tries. You have to hit every sign and aren’t given any extra time for mistakes. Just remember you can use five flashbacks.
The route to take: start by driving through the large buried pipes ahead, then drifting right and smashing all the signs along the outside. When you come back around, drive to the right of the buried pipes you drove through and circle around the two smaller concrete pipes (approach them from the left and drift to begin driving around them, being sure to hit every sign). After fully circling around the second concrete pipe, smash the signs ahead while drifting to the right to turn 180 degrees. Go up the ramp, smash the signs atop the containers and after the last two, keep left to go down another ramp to smash the final sign.
Next is the Jump Tutorial, you’ll need 45,000 points to score platinum. This one is much easier than the previous tutorial. On the first jump, score 5,000 points then drift as soon as you land. The trick is to let up off the gas when you begin your drift, then when you’ve almost turned 180 degrees, hold down the gas to hit the next jump with enough power. All the jumps after the first should be 10,000 points. Just make sure to hit the jumps straight on and you should have no problem netting the platinum.
Next is the Drift Tutorial, this is the hardest platinum in the game. This tutorial is extremely difficult to platinum, you’ll need to score 145,000 points. Most importantly, pause the event when it starts and select Options, then Controls, and change to Manual transmission. As soon as you’re able to drive, press to switch to second gear and stay in that gear the entire time.
In order to earn the platinum, you’ll be drifting in a figure of eight through the gates. You need to be drifting as you pass under a gate and continue drifting all the way around (staying in between the markers), out of the gate on the other side. Then drive to the gate in front of you and repeat. Each time you drift through a gate or between markers, you’ll gain points. Max is 5,000, but you need to score at least 4,000 the majority of the time (you can maybe get away with one or two 3,000s). If you miss a drift and earn no points, you may as well restart.
You need to drift hard and use the to maintain your drift throughout. What I found worked best was as soon as you come out the other gate of the drift, let up off the gas to straighten yourself back out. Then gun it towards the other gate and keep held down as you begin the next drift. This is a very challenging platinum and will likely take a couple of hours. But keep going at it and you’ll get it eventually.
Next is the Spin Tutorial, very easy if you use a little trick. You need 100,000 points for the platinum. To start a spin, gain some speed then simultaneously hit the brakes and handbrake while turning. Once you’ve slowed down, let up off both brakes, continue to turn and hold the gas down.
If you can position your spin just right in the corner of one of the squares so your car is halfway in and out of the square, you can just spin in the same spot the entire time. Otherwise, doing it legit isn’t that hard either. You can only get 10,000 in a square at a time, so just switch back and forth between the two squares until you earn platinum.
And finally, the Donut Tutorial. This should be very doable after earning the platinum on the Drift Tutorial. You need 110,000 points for platinum. Just switch between the two larger circles and you should finish this one easily and unlock:
During the Academy Final, you’ll want to ace all five trick types (filling three triangles for each trick). You shouldn’t have any trouble with this after earning platinum on all their tutorials. Keep a donut going long enough, smash three signs simultaneously, spin in the designated zone long enough, jump off a ramp with enough speed, and hit a drift with enough speed and at the correct angle. Win the event and you’ll unlock:
That’s it for Season 1! You will now unlock the first zone of the Battersea Compound, which is covered on the next page of the walkthrough. You can decide to do those now or save them for after you’ve completed all DiRT Tour seasons.
Start with the Osiris Offroad Rush triangle. Select the 80’s class for the first event and after winning the race, you’ll unlock:
After winning the next event, you’ll unlock:
Next event is the first Gymkhana Sprint DC Challenge. You’ll need to have a near-flawless run for the platinum, which is 45 seconds. Don’t forget you have five rewinds, they can be very helpful during challenges. Follow the path around, doing the tricks as you come to them.
You start with a jump, let up off the gas as you go off and slowly approach the upcoming spin. Exit after completing the spin and follow the path to a drift. Smash the sign, then start to slow as you approach the donut, making sure to start it from the right. After circling around, hit the next three signs and drift under the truck. Slowly approach the next donut and start it from the left. Then drive off the jump.
After a couple of tries, you shouldn’t have much trouble earning platinum and possibly unlocking:
If you don’t unlock the achievement, do the challenge again. You don’t need platinum, you just need to complete it without hitting anything. Also, you need to land softly on the first jump, making sure you land on all four wheels at the same time. You shouldn’t have any trouble doing this since you’ve just earned the platinum.
Within a couple of events, you should have completed your 25th bonus objective and unlock:
If you haven’t unlocked the achievement yet, you’ll have plenty more opportunities to complete bonus objectives and will definitely have it by the end of your DiRT Tour.
Around this point, you should also reach Driver Rep level 10 and unlock:
Next DC Challenge is the first Smash Attack. You’ll need to smash all the robots without hitting any buildings for the platinum, this one isn’t very difficult. Rewind is your friend as always. Start by keeping right and driving around the outside. After looping all the way around, continue into the middle. Donut around the first pole then hit the lone robot by the next pole. After earning the platinum, you’ll unlock:
During the third event in the Pro Invitational triangle, you can get another achievement. During the second race of the event, your goal is to score 500,000 points. To do this, you’ll need to build a x3 multiplier by performing tricks.
The best way I found to go about that is to only do the donut trick around the green structures. Also, don’t hit anything as it diminishes your multiplier (if you do, rewind). Jump into the first area and do the two donuts, then jump into the next area and do those two donuts. Finally, go into the last two areas and do those donuts.
You should have a x3 multiplier. Now drive around smashing signs, remember to rewind if you hit anything. If your multiplier is about to go back to x2, do another donut to keep it at x3. Continue driving around smashing signs with a x3 multiplier and you should reach 500,000 points before the time expires and unlock:
If you don’t reach 500,000, select Restart Race and try again. You should be able to get it after a couple of tries.
Next DC Challenge is the first Speedrun, you have 35 seconds to complete this for the platinum. This one is very tight and you’ll most likely just barely make it when you finally do. Keep going at it though and you will eventually get it.
Gun it at the beginning off the jump, then let up off the gas when you land for a bit to regain control. Then quickly drive between the containers, letting up off the gas a little to avoid running into them. Then gun it as you exit and start slamming on the brakes as you near the turn ahead.
Perform a tight drift around the bend as you’re slowing, then gun it again and when you’re driving under the pipes, let up off the gas for a quick second so your car doesn’t start to drift as you exit and approach the next marker. Gun it again and start slamming on the brakes before the final turn. Continue to brake while you’re turning, then drift slightly and gun it up the ramp to the finish.
In the X Games triangle, after winning the first race of the first event, you’ll unlock:
Next DC Challenge is the first Gymkhana Attack. You need to complete the six different tricks located around the area in 40 seconds for the platinum. This one isn’t too bad and if you follow the route below, you should be able to get the platinum within a few tries.
Start out by doing a donut around the pole, starting from the left. After circling around, go drift through the large buried pipes on the other side of the area. Turn 180 to the right as you exit and go off the jump, then donut around the digger ahead, starting from the left. After circling around, stick to the right side of the area and drift under the truck trailer. Then drive towards the containers in the far corner and drift between them.
After winning the final event in the X Games triangle, you’ll unlock:
That’s it for Season 2! You will now unlock the second zone of the Battersea Compound.
At some point this season you should be introduced to the first World Tour event. There are six in total and these consist of multiple events. You’ll need to place first in all of these as well. After winning all the events and passing the Drift Showcase in the only available World Tour, you’ll unlock:
The DC Challenge in this World Tour is the third Drift Showcase. You need 20,000 points for the platinum and you should have no problem getting that, very likely earning platinum first try.
The next DC Challenge is the second Smash Attack. Again, you’ll need to hit all robots without hitting any buildings and you have 30 seconds. This one isn’t very difficult and you shouldn’t have any problem earning the platinum.
Start by going right around the outside, slowly approaching the corner and drifting around. Just brake around the next set then donut to hit all of them in the garage. Start braking as you hit the next robot to avoid falling off the edge and continue around. Then drive straight up the middle and slam on the brakes as you approach the last two. Drift around the pole and drive back down the middle to hit the final robots.
Next DC Challenge is the second Gymkhana Sprint. You’ll need to hit all 13 tricks within 45 seconds for the platinum. By now you should have a better grasp on the game and how the cars handle and should be able to earn this platinum after a couple of tries.
Brake and drift around the first two turns, then hit the jump and brake as soon as you land, drifting around the turn. Brake and drift the next turn then full speed ahead, through the fence. Start braking as you approach the turn, then tightly drift around the pole. Donut around the barrels ahead, starting from the right. Brake before the next turn and slightly drift around, then approach the next donut from the left. Hit the smash, then about a quarter of the way into the garage perform a tight spin. You should continue to spin out of the garage and hit the boxes to complete the challenge.
After a couple more events, you should reach Driver Rep level 20 and unlock:
Next DC Challenge is the second Speedrun. You need to finish within 32 seconds for the platinum. This one is fairly straightforward and you should have the platinum after a couple of tries. Just do a combination of regular brake into handbrake and drift around every turn, trying to cut them as tight as possible.
By now you should have three more World Tours available. In the second World Tour, you have the second Gymkhana Attack DC Challenge. Nothing too difficult here, you’ve got 40 seconds to earn the platinum. Should get it within a couple of tries.
Start by doing the donut around the pole in front of you, starting from the right side. Then hit the nearby drift with a very slight drift and continue down the right side. Turn left at the end and hit the drift ahead. Donut around the pole ahead, starting from the left. Go up the ramp ahead, turn right twice and hit the jump. Turn right then drop down to the left. Drive into the garage and perform the spin.
The third World Tour has the fourth Drift Showcase DC Challenge. You’ll need 15,000 for the platinum. This one isn’t too bad, just try to maintain long drifts around turns and drift as much as possible.
The fourth World Tour has the third Gymkhana Attack DC Challenge. This one is very easy, you have 38 seconds for the platinum. Should be able to first try this using a couple of rewinds.
Start by slightly drifting under the digger to the left, making sure to hit the drift turning right. Then drive right to the nearby corner and do the donut, starting from the left. Do the spin ahead, starting from the left. Then keep to the right side, cross the bridge, and hit the next donut. Cross the other bridge, then hit the drift that’s ahead and to the left. Make sure to hit this drift turning right, then hit the final donut ahead to finish the challenge.
The final triangle of the third season, Winter X Games, has the Bobsleigh Challenge. This is a unique DC Challenge in which you have to beat the bobsleigh for the platinum. It’s pretty much just another Speedrun. This one is probably the second hardest platinum in the game and will take many attempts.
Before the challenge, select Vehicle Setup and change it to this setup (1 being the furthest left):
Gear Ratio - 3
Downforce - 2
Suspension - 1
Ride Height - 2
Differential - 2
Brake Bias - 3
Try to improve each area as you work towards platinum. Hold down the gas as much as possible, use the regular brake before turns, then hit the gas throughout the turn. You should only use the handbrake once, about halfway down, on a hairpin turn. When you finally do manage to earn the platinum, you’ll unlock:
After winning the final event in the Winter X Games triangle, you’ll unlock:
That’s it for Season 3! You will now unlock the third and final zone of the Battersea Compound.
First DC Challenge is the third Gymkhana Sprint. You have 52 seconds for the platinum and this one’s pretty tight. Keep at it and you’ll eventually earn the platinum.
Do the donut in front of you, starting from the left. Then hit the spin under the crane, starting it just before going underneath and trying to finish it as you come out the other side. Hit the smash, then very lightly drift under the next crane. Hit the jump, brake as soon as you land back on the dirt and continue toward the donut, starting it from the right. Hit the two smashes and the next drift, starting it after crossing the bridge. Continue to the next smash and brake quite a bit in advance to start the donut ahead from the left. Go up the ramp to hit the final smash and jump to finish the challenge.
Within a couple of events, you should reach Driver Rep level 30 and unlock:
Next DC Challenge is the third Smash Attack. This one is very easy, you need 40 points for the platinum. Avoid hitting any buildings and follow the path below.
Start by going hard right, then donut to hit all those robots. Continue right and 180 to hit the next set. Ignore the closer robot and drive towards the one further right, hit it and continue in that direction. Smash the next set of robots then 180 to the right and smash that set. Drive toward the digger in the distance and donut around, starting from the right. Then donut around the bottom of the crane, starting from the left. Head straight to the next robot and continue around the right side to finish the challenge.
Next DC Challenge is the fourth Gymkhana Sprint. This one is pretty easy, you have 54 seconds for the platinum.
Start the donut from the right, then hit the drift ahead. Hit the smash and start the next donut from the right. Head across the other bridge and hit the next three smashes. Hit the drift ahead slightly then approach the donut from the left. Hit the two smashes and approach the next donut from the right. Then drive into the container and stick to the left side to hit the jump and complete the challenge.
The next DC Challenges are the third and fourth Speedrun, both are located in the final triangle of Season 4. For the third Speedrun, you have 30 seconds for the platinum. Keep your vehicle controlled and use the regular brake for turns, you won’t be smashing the gas much. When you come to the section underneath the bridges, if you line your car up right in the middle you can just drive straight through. Use your rewinds and you should be able to earn the platinum after a few attempts.
For the fourth Speedrun, you also have 30 seconds for the platinum. Brake into handbrake on the first three hairpin turns as you’re going down. Then drift around the next three turns and on the last turn just use your regular brakes. You shouldn’t have any trouble earning the platinum, especially with rewinds.
After winning the final event in the DC SuperSeries triangle, you’ll unlock:
That leaves only two more World Tours. In the fifth World Tour is the fifth Speedrun DC Challenge. You have 43 seconds for the platinum, nothing too difficult here. Just use a combination of regular brake and handbrake and you should have no problem earning the platinum.
After winning the second event of the final World Tour, you’ll unlock:
And finally, the last DC Challenge which is the fourth Smash Attack. You need 38 points for the platinum and there are a couple more robots than that. This is another easy one and should give you no problem when taking the route below.
Start by driving straight ahead and around the left side of the area. After coming back around to the middle, drive to the closest group of robots to the right and donut around, starting from the right. After doing a full circle, drive to the next group. Hit these robots then 180 to the right and follow the next few robots to another group. Donut around, starting from the left. Drive through the pipe and hit the next group, turning right. Hit the last two and you’ll earn your final platinum and unlock:
That concludes the DiRT Tour! There’s just one miscellaneous achievement left before moving on to the Battersea Compound missions.
From the main menu, select Singleplayer, then Time Trial. Set the Discipline to Rally, Location to Kenya, and Track to Crocodile Point (any track will do, this one’s just short and sweet). Now complete a Time Trial with each of these classes:
After the final one, you’ll unlock:
