2. Dishonored General hints and tipsUpdate notes

You have a large quantity of gadgets, weapons, skills and magic at your disposal so use them! Each single item supplements your personal style of gaming, so make sure to use each at least once to find your own personal gamestyle. I however largely depended on stealth and "Blink" (teleporting) to get through the game since you can use it quite well to get out of a hairy situation.

The alchemical heart you have at your disposal is used to find bone charms and runes, so use it to know at least the direction you have to move. This also works through walls and you can also use it to hear the thoughts of the people you point it at (didn't find that one useful, but is certainly nice feature).

The more deaths you cause, the more sinister becomes the city. The decision is of course up to you, but you will have to live with the consequences of having a rat and undead infested city. Guards seem also to be more on edge, so keep that in mind as well.

Hide enemies when you take them out. As soon as an enemy patrol finds them they trigger the alarm. However, throwing enemies unconscious in harm's way (water, electricity, height, etc) will count as a kill from your hand since you deposited them there to begin with. So, if you knock them out, make sure to put them out of harm's way!

There are various side missions and items you can find and sell for money. Always look closely and check everything you see. There might not be an achievement involved, but being curious pays off most of the times.

Always look for alternative routes to take! There are at least 20 different ways to approach a target, each needing another set of preparations. Although I will mention a good way to take, it's totally up to you to use the routes or not. This game is largely open world, so take advantage of that and do whatever your heart tells you too. However, to reduce the time on playthroughs I strongly recommend using my guide.

You can save anytime, anywhere! Keep that in mind and prevent of overwriting older saves, you might need them if you did something stupid!

I barely found Tranquilizer Darts when out on missions, so make sure that you are stocked up on these.
